Tony Adejor: I’m in agreement with you because the citizens will NOT have the expenses to pay for electricity which will have more money for them to use for themselves and families.
The Gambia government should step up and take the responsibility to build houses in these coastal areas then sell it to the Gambia people rather than private investors to do this job and go away with all the profit into his own pocket
governments don't do that because once they start it becomes almost impossible for any private investor to compete since the gov may have lower cost(not needing to pay taxes, etc) and more resources that private investors.
Why do developers often follow the European housing models and structures instead of something distinctly African, since when did african people start playing golf. Elizabethan, Georgian and Victorian style home are modelled from certain periods in the uk canadian homes likewise are unique to them by design, if I'm looking at a Riad culturally I know what I'm looking at, globally if I use the term African style home immediately people should have a structural idea in their head or a certain style of home. There is higher value in originality.

Greetings. I'm an American, stuck in Gambia forced to wait until these borders and flights reopen. I'm looking for an affordable apartment to rent in August. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success finding legitimate options among the locals. Are there any recommendations you can make please? Thank you.
