Installed a 76mm ball bearing On3 performance turbo. 7 psi boost. 455 whp 515 torque. 4800 ft elevation. Check out my most recent video with more up and boost.
Im currently in the process of removing my kit to to a full motor build but im curious what your plumbing looks like underneath i would like to dump my exhaust so it is just the downpipe aswell but did you route your wastegate or dump to atmosphere also are you running any boost controller? thanks
motoman410 I have my dump out my turbo down pipe now but I modified my waste gate. The pipe that connects from the exhaust down pipe to the exhaust going into the turbo and has the waste gate mounted in between, I cut that pipe and welded the down pipe hole closed then I welded a V band flange on the exhaust going into the turbo and mounted a Tial 44mm waste gate there. (If any of that makes sense)
Ik this was awhile ago lmao but I own a 2010 mustang gt and was considering this kit, but at what hp and tq can the stock internals take. I don’t want to be messing up my motor or anything. Tbh 450whp and 450tq is perfect for me
450 hp and torque would be fine for your stock internals as long as you have a good tuner. The guy who tuned this car is amazing with mustangs and I never had a problem.
@@modularmayhem6339 I am in Los Angeles I am a 3v owner and I am considering moving to salt lake. Great to know there is another 3v around with a tuner !!
@@modularmayhem6339 I know i'm way late but i'm also in utah close to the SLC area, i'm considering the on3 kit for my 07 GT/CS, do you remember how much they charge for the tune? Would you recommend them?
@Noah Witt I can only take a guess but I would think somewhere around 425-450. I have a 70mm On3 installed on a 1988 Mustang GT with 6 lbs of boost and it made 440 ft lb of torque but it also has 4:10 gears I haven't changed out yet.
Do need the one with ceramic bearings? It's around 400 more or so. That was my last question. Lol. I appreciate it..that stance is sick. Mine is same color with black rims. Now thinking about spacers. After seeing yours..
That's what they say I'm playing it safe I have 440 to the wheel 8 pounds of boost I want to turn it up a little more around 500 should I or keep it safe
Joe Doole this dyno pull was a stock GT with the bolt on3 turbo kit. It now has a built 3v motor with an 84mm on3 turbo, clutch, trans, fuel system, and is pushing 1000hp.
@@thomaszmyewski2918 in this video its a stock tremco 3650 but after I built it I had the stock 3650 built up. It worked good for a bit but I blew it up 2 times before going to a TK0 600 with face plated gears.
Modular Mayhem thank u.. i really appreciate it.. is 7 psi a big difference tjen stock?. What can i expect to pay for on3 turbo kit with labor injectors etc? .roughly
mike s you'll pay $2000 for the kit, $400 for injectors, you need a bigger fuel pump, that's about $400, colder spark plugs $95, and whatever you're local shop charges for labor. I installed mine and it took 2 days. And then your tune.
@@modularmayhem6339 hey man I know this was 2 years ago but I’m really contemplating this turbo kit but can’t really find many videos of it but seems like a great option compared to the $7k ones, just trying to justify my choice 😂
@@jeremysimo1082 its a great kit, I have a 1988 Mustang Fox body and I installed another on3 kit in. It runs great and for the price of this kit you can't go wrong.
Love that stance..looks great.. i have a 2006 mustang gt..stock motor. How reliable is this setup?. I just want to see around 400 horsepower. Its a daily driver. Any opinions or advice? Not wanting to do engine internal stuff. Too much money. Nothing crazy. Just want reliable horsepower. 8lbs boost or so. Whatcja think?;)
The stock connecting rods can hand about 475 rwtq before they snap as long as your tuned to less than that you should be good bit it might be cheaper to do bolt ons first and see how close you get
Hey, i have a 06 gt, looking to go with either the On3 84mm ball bearing turbo or procharger, How do the on3's hold up? do you think i should go procharged or turbo? And also, im planning to go forged internals, do you have any links to where you got your forged internals?
3 Dipsticks I'm running the On3 84mm now and its holding great. Its currently at 905 whp but hoping to get above 1000 within the next month. I buy all my engine stuff from modularmotorsportsracing.com. They have a 4.75 stroker kit good for 1500 hp for $2100. But then you need fuel and everything else to support that power.
I really appreciate the quick reply! It's great to see people making numbers like that from these 3v's! Looks like it's time for my wallet to be empty again ;)
americosuave I had the block machined. That's the original 4.6L block, machined .020 over just to clean up the bore and then added the stroker crank, rods, and pistons.
Thanks that’s what the guy at mmr suggested thanks did u change your compression I’m going with 10.2 to 1 and it cost me close to 2800 by the time u balance crank and the other adds did u do the same? My car is all done ass far as clutch gt 500 duel fuel pumps water meth ford racing intake Throttlebody and manifold comp cam 127550 stage 2 blows grind 410 gears . I have the vortex supper charger what size fuel injectors r u running 60lb or bigger thanks for your help and thanks for directing me to mmr..
Modular Mayhem damn, is it safe pushing that much power on the rods? I’ve heard that the internals can barely handle over 500chp I wanna go more on mine but don’t know if I should risk it
@@chrs_s I guess it depends on who you ask. The guy who tunes my car specializes in mustang builds and he said it was good right where he put it. The car ran great with zero issues for 2 years until I fully built the motor. I wasn't easy on it either.
Modular Mayhem I was gonna say cuz mine is supercharged but is making 400whp and all the tuners that specialize in 3v’s say that the internals shouldn’t be pushed over 500chp
@@chrs_s like I said, it depends on who you ask. I had Lund Racing in Las Vegas tune it and they said I shouldn't go over 500 whp.. 🤷♂️ I'm not telling you to do it because I don't want you to blow your stuff, I'm just relaying what Lund told me and what worked for me.
This pull made 455 whp and 515 torque. Yes that was the Stock motor with upgraded fuel pump, injectors, and MAFS. I eventually built the motor and made 905 hp.
@@modularmayhem6339 that’s awesome ! I know these engines can make around 1000hp comfortably when well built. Can you share with me your Setup if you don’t mind ? I am actually in the market for internal goodies pistons rods all that stuff .. how much psi did you end up running on that 905?
