In this mechabellum gameplay video we are doing some of the mechabellum meta strategies. Mustangs with Fortresses or War Factories are becoming very popular and strong. 00:00 Game 1 24:04 Game 2
true! the left side factory bugged. I have heard of this factory+shield bug, someone tried to recreate it and figured out the exact position for the shield but its really hard to get the factory to stop there.
In the first game, why didnt you go aa-barrage on the forts to hit the wraiths? It seemed so obvious to me (the noob). Is it, because mustangs could have countered it too easily? Or is it just bad vs the tanky wraiths? Thanks for the answer 😊
the fort AA is ok vs wraiths. Definitely a good option if the board state stays the same, however my main concern of the wraiths is that my mustang get stuck on them. He could tech armor or field maintenance on them to really hurt my mustang and I was expecting this to happen. So if I go fort AA, the fort AA doesn't deal with high level armor/fm wraith and then I need to build the melter. So I'd rather not give him a good opportunity for those techs and go melting point sooner. So in short I play too much into a wraith tech if I go barrage if you know what I mean
I wonder why you didn't click anti-air on the mustangs in the first game? Especially after round 9 I would have done anti-air on mustangs over level 2 fort. Or am I underestimating the need for the level 2 fort?
the phoenix were enough to kill the wraith in the mid game. I was also thinking of pivoting into the melters when he goes fort AA since his forts were big also. It's also bad to click the AA since the mustangs will get stuck on the wraith instead of killing the fangs. I would never click mustang AA vs wraith. You just lose to armor/field maintenance because you can't clear the chaff anymore so the rest of your army doesnt do anything
I recently got into Mechabellum, and got so frustrated by Mustangs that i did some testing. Yes, mustangs are overpowered as hell. Mustang spam beats a genuinely horrifying array of options, and the one nice counter to them (fire) they have a counter to (anti missile) The best counter to literally just mustang spam that I have seen is hackbot + 5beam and range
If they get missile intercept they usually just get distracted trying to shoot down the storm caller barrage at which point crawlers can rip them apart
no, its way too much commitment. He's just going to put one ball to tank it to save his crawler. He also has 2 jump drive phoenix which are quite bad against my mustang board and that would give them a better purpose. If you want to do something like that you can put an arclight there but it has the same problem. He's so close to my tower that if I try to commit something relevant into the flank the warp in time is brutal and he always either wins it or kills my tower (if you were talking about flanking with a vulcan in game 2 round 4).
I don't understand why you don't consider the HP, if starting units are slightly worse and you lose the first round, that doesn't make up for choosing 900 less HP.
@@SurreyEZ A slightly better composition isn't worth 1000 HP, why did you pick the 4100 in the first game? That's like losing 3 entire rounds for a difference of one unit.
