I’ve got that same car and shaker system except I have the factory sub. I’ve been able to tap into the rear amp and rear deck for my amps but the front door speakers and amp under the dash have been lost on me until now... your vids and explanations on all the wiring has been very helpful... now I’m going to mimic your amp rack and do something very similar. I have two batteries and three amps to mount so this video really helps out with measurements and placements.. thx for the information and can’t wait for the rest of this series to come out

I do three layers: first a layer of asphalt based sound deadening, what most people think of when you say Dynamat or Road Kill. On top of that I do a layer of closed cell foam And the last is a layer of Mass Loaded Vinyl

What do you guys use to secure the power and ground cable to the firewall on the newer f150s? I tried wire supports with double sided tape and it just fell off

Would it be a good idea to put some 6.5” subs in the door ? Or would it be best to throw a 3 way component ? I don’t want to throw any big sub box behind .

I bought a mastro idata link rockford dsr1 will that eliminate the wiring of the amp cause I can just swap out the factory amp with that correct

In a Clarion amplifier manual it says don't mount amplifiers to plastic or anything that could burn when it gets hot. I think I also remember seeing that from Rockford Fosgate and JL Audio. But I noticed you always install the amps on plastic. What are your thoughts about mounting an amplifier to a piece of aluminum instead of ABS plastic? I figure it might act as an extra heat sink and would resist burning better than ABS. But maybe it would introduce some ground noise? ABS plastic is probably cheaper.

Can you guys tell me what i need to install a pioneer headunit on same car 2018 mustang but to be able to still use steering wheel functions.... thank you!
