Quite a few Mustangs for sale with the small screen which makes the car less desirable. It would take me 8 hours to install this upgrade assuming I can do it at all.
Not sure what brand this unit is but I installed my navos 8 inch screen and the screen will randomly turn or completely and stay of or turn off and rebute. It also mutes intself sometime. Do you know what could be wrong ?
abel gabaldon our system isn’t a factory upgrade. Our screen is our own we manufacture it. So if you have the factory screen from the 8” you would have to contact Ford and see what parts are required.
We are the manufacturer, not a retailer. So we don't offer installation services. Our Screen Upgrade system's MSRP is $650. The labor rate would depend on the individual shops labor rates. We have a find a dealer tab on our website that can assist you in locating a dealer near by you. If we don't have one close to you and you have a local shop you would like to use, we can work with them to get the unit into your car.
I have a 2018 mustang, originally equipped with the 4 inch screen, I had ford install the 8inch touch screen for me but my sync is not up to date, how can I install the new sync 3 software, and instead of saying phone, it still says sync on the bottom of the screen so that’s why I assume it’s not up to date. Also Apple car play does not work yet. I have the gps version also.
If it is Ford equipment you will have to have them get the software issues figured out. Our kit is not a Ford part, its our design. We designed it to take the 4" screen and turn it into an 8" touch screen while retaining all the other components from the 4" system. SO our system doesn't give you SYNC 3 we just turn your UI into the SYNC 3 UI. The rest of the factory set up remains the same.
okay, i understand. If you have our upgrade unit, we do not upgrade your vehicles SYNC system, replace your SYNC system or its ability to be upgraded. We simply upgrade the display and controls to the factory system. Its not a SYNC Upgrade, and it doesn't make it possible to upgrade the SYNC. So the factory system remains the same. If your vehicle didn't have CarPlay before the screen upgrade our screen replacement doesn't add it. If you did, then we may have to figure what is happening with why it wont work. The second link you posted is for our Navigation interface for Ford SYNC vehicles that came equipped with the factory 8" screen. It doesn't upgrade the SYNC system either, it just adds navigation to the existing SYNC System.
Not sure what the TOMTOP unit is. We are the manufacturer and build it in our own factory. This unit is currently being redesigned though. Our next Generation will run with an Android based system instead of the WINCE version here in the video.
Unfortunately we no long produce this radio and so we don’t have any spare in stock. You can email me jon@linkswellinc.com a picture what exactly what you are after and I can see if there is one laying around some where. But I can’t say for sure.
So a couple things. 1. We don’t sell direct retail. So you would have to locate one of our authorized dealers. We have a find a retailer tab on our website that will list them by Zipcode 2. This system is no longer in production. We stopped producing it a couple years back when we released our T-Style Radios. So unfortunately you would have to find a dealer who has one in stock which I am not sure exists.
That is true. We are in the middle of creating a GEN II version of this kit that will not just add the 8" screen, but will also add an 8" Android tablet. Giving you more features and options then our GEN I which was just a screen upgrade.
@@kyrolosdavid won’t be able to help much. My guess is you bought a factory 8” screen but didn’t buy the new bezel to go with it? Our screen replacement is designed to work with the factory climate circuit board the factory 8” isn’t.

I have a 2017 Ford fusion I have a Android Tesla sreen the only problem having now as my camera doesn't work and my heated seat doesn't work I don't see the display for the heated seat please help how do you get to the display for the heated seats to work on a 2017 Ford fusion SE
Byron James really sorry to hear you are having issues, but we don’t have a system for the Fusion yet. So your system isn’t one of ours and we would have no idea why it wasn’t working and would have no way of diagnosing it.

@@josephlakhno3556 no. It will require factory parts. Our screen is aftermarket. What it would require to do this with a factory screen we wouldn’t know. You would have to contact Ford.

No. We do not sell direct retail. We only sell to authorized dealers. But, also we no longer produce this product. We only produce or T-Style Radios now.
@@LinksWellInc no it was a Rosen RAX-MUST 15 model. It was working fine after I bought it from the dealership then the screen went black the day after. Took it a Ford dealership and they tried to charge me $1000 to get the thing fixed. So I took it to a audio shop and they told me all the electrical stuff was getting power so it’s the screen. Bought the Rosen FIT MUST-15 model and replaced it but left the old wiring and it’s still black. I already checked the fuses..

Thanks it flush pretty good but you could be right with that middle screw were the tape wires are I try to screw and it didn't have a hole in it so I think I hit a little wire thanks bud for the quick response have a blessed weekend
We don't sell directly to the public. So for retail customers we get them connected with our nearest dealer. For dealers we connect them with our office manager to become a dealer.
On this version it will not. But we are working on releasing our GEN2 version in the next 30-60 days which will add not only an 8" screen but an 8" android tablet screen, which will work with our current T-Style PhoneLink system which does both CarPlay and Android Auto.
