Found the lyrics at a few different sites, but I think they were all off on a few words. Here they are with corrections in verse 3 (as I here it, anyway...) You're not far from what You wanted to become when you were young Those years have gone by But were never lost It's too late We don't know why some dreams fall through Today These are the scars that remind you [Chorus] When all you see on your broken back Is the perfect life that you never had It's a better ground When we fall apart We'll come back again As a work of art (verse 2) So lay your head to rest Don't worry if things never come around Cause they have somehow In everything you are It's too late When we've already been torn in two Today These are the scars that remind you [Chorus] (verse 3) If you've ever missed your attempts to fly Remember this, well, at least you tried Oh, no You only did what you could Oh, oh, oh Maybe the miss is not your fault Remember you still haven't lost it all Oh, no If what is left is your heart [Bridge] I think you should know You're a work of art I think you should know You're a work of art When the tide rolled in You did not lose your heart I think you should know You're a work of art [Chorus] [Bridge] I think you should know You're a work of art I think you should know You're a work of art When those boats caved in You did not lose your heart I think you should know You're a work of art
@Biggestmutemathfan I think it fits perfectly with the song. Especially for this part in the lyrics. v "It’s a better plan when we fall apart We’ll come back again as a work of art"
@Biggestmutemathfan Where are you finding their unreleased or discarded songs? They're awesome! Plus, do you know where to find the lyrics to this song?
those goodies better be unreleased stuff, man, cause i absolutely refuse to download a MM song i could somehow pay for. granted they'll probably never see most of the money...but still!
This is soft rock, r&b. This track reminds me of picture a lot, as well as the Police. I can see why it didn't get on an album too blazay and reduntant. I like it but i would probably skip it on the album and listen to picture or noticed instead.
@mackenj16 Errrrr man !! I was just kidding !!! This just alternative rock, but Mute Math is very special so to me it's not only rock, it's a melting pot of genre and in the end we get something beautiful :)
