Awesome hunt - (I said this before) Hunting isn't about killing; it's about the memories and my friend you made some great memories there!

I love your hunting videos. You are so respectful of tradition, other huntsmen and nature, but most importantly the game. I wish all sport hunters were like you the world over. I also know that the game is being made into some delicious Hungarian food to be shared amongst friends. You are a consumate sportsman. Instead of filling your pickup with the limit of your permit, you focus on getting the most out of the experience and game.

very beautiful to see! I remember my childhood when I hunted with my father, with precarious weapons and black gunpowder. here in Brazil we hunted partridge, with dog, not worth throwing on the ground, just flying, good times. my shotgun was only a barrel, except that the percussion system was different from this one, it was an aspirational spring for pulling. nowadays here in Brazil everything is forbidden, hunting is an environmental crime, now the government can steal the will ... congratulations for your country, live your freedom intensely!

nothing like waking up to a new capandball video :) very cool to see how much pride you have for hunting and shooting in general amazing how in my country people take it for granted that you can own what ever gun you want and hunt nearly everything yet countries that were once very similar with hunting pride are struggling to gain those same god given rights back awesome hunt

We here always called this type of hunting "jump shooting" as a way to duck hunt without all the extra equipment. I mostly water fowled with decoys and calling them in to a good spread is as much fun as the shooting. Watching the dogs work was also a treat. In 1971 not knowing much I hunted with a 20 ga. fowler and used toilet paper as wadding before I knew better ha ha.

I personally use paper cartridges and can load at about 4 shots per minute with no need to bother with all the vials and other separate components. The patterns are no worse than everything loaded separately. Your pouch is much less complicated and bar falling in the dam pretty waterproof. I also shoot with a flintlock using the same system and have an equal amount of success. To bag 30 ducks a day is not unusual. I do really enjoy your channel please keep up creating content.

You live in a lovely country. Thank you so much for sharing these videos in addition to the regular firearms reviews and evaluations. Another great video. I loved seeing the dogs in action, those beautiful British shotguns and the scenery. I was equally taken by how the men would remove their hats to each other as a sign of respect and honor....I quess that is where the American saying "My hat is off to you" and its various forms comes from....actually removing one's hat as a sign of respect and honor.

I have an english muzzleloader shotgun double barrel. Enjoy it very much, unfortunately we cannot use it here for duck or waterfowl, as we are required to use non toxic steel shot. And bismuth shot is very expensive. So we can only use lead for upland birds like partridge and pheasant Also rabbit hunting, or round ball or buckshot for deer at close ranges Enjoy your videos, thank you.

I loved the courtesy each of you displayed by doffing your caps upon being congratulated and presented with your bird. A simple gentlemanly gesture rarely seen in the states except on the golf course. Craig. Port Orchard, WA.

That was awesome. I've been bird hunting since I was legal at 12 years old. It is my favorite hunting and almost all I do anymore. I go to North Dakota every fall and hunt pheasant. That is an experience I'd highly recommend if you can in any way get a chance to do it, I would. I've never hunted with a muzzleloader shotgun but I would love to but first I have to get one lol. One day I will. Thanks for the great video and my hat is off to you all being responsible, respectful hunters. It's the only way to do it.

I'd prefer a black powder that loads at the bore/breach as our Sweden friends had in 1800's. Then Double barrel side by side, I'd love it. I'd much rather eat duck than chicken. Wild duck to me simply tastes cleaner than any old yard bird.

Noticed in Hungary unlike the United States you do not have to use steel shot for waterfowling. I use a muzzleloading 10 ga double made by Pedersoli but with having to use steel shot it really limits the range of the shotgun.

yaeh and actually i think, this is a good law. lead and (shot in generall) are pretty awfull. we had three rabbits from my sister this christmas, hunted with shotgun. it was horrible. lead pellets stuck everywhere, every mouth full of meat you had 2-3 shot balls. and the worst were those, where the huntress hit bone, the bone fragmented and also the lead ball. so all was full with dispersed particles of lead and bone. it was this christmas, that i swore to myself, i will in future hunt small game only with a single projectile and kill it by headshot. so atm i`m looking to buy a .22LR rifle. (will probably be a cz455, seems a good rifle, but if you have any other recommendations, i`ll be greatful)
@montanamountainmen6104
@montanamountainmen6104 6 лет назад
I use 22 LR on rabbit , less damage and as you stated no shot to pluck out. Even steel shot makes a mess, only thing is you bite into one its steel and it will crack or break a tooth.

We don't use lead shot because of its environmental impact.
@jdpeppergrinder9387

I have not waterfowl hunted with my 20 gauge yet but if I would I’d use bismuth. I don’t have a coated barrel so I’d have to use bismuth shot it’s not as heavy as lead but it’s better than steel and it won’t scratch the bore. It’s even recommended for antique guns. The downside is it’s not really easy to find and it’s 4 to 5 times the price of lead

great muzzle loading video, but I have never heard of needing a bullet starter for a muzzleloading shotgun first of all because one rarely uses a solid round ball in a shotgun and secondly because the shotgun has a smooth bore without rifling which doesn't require a starter.

I am really interested in getting into muzzle loading and I am really set on finding a Brown Bess or 1728 French Musket, I like the look of these two and I want something that looks authentic, but that is a good quality to shoot and hunt with. I hear that I should avoid ones made in India, but have not found any forums that are telling me where to look for a good one, just where not to look. I was hoping you could point me in the direct of a good quality and aesthetically pleasing musket. I really appreciate the help in advance!
