MV Agusta Brutale 675 review - the review nobody asked for

Honest owners review of the baby Brutale. MV Agusta could have chose to refine this little thing, but they haven't, and it will forever stay the raw little fighter dog that could have made it, but just didn't get enough support.
Check out the video and leave me some feedback, I'm still very new at this

I have one of these and totally love it. Great review, very accurate. This bike is so light and flickable you feel like you're going way faster than you are because it's quite twitchy. It's basically a hooligan bike, an angry waspy little thing. It's great value and you can pick them up at good prices with low milage. Sport mode is crazy but so much fun, but not really rideable in traffic. You e right through, the rear brake is awful and would benefit from a larger pad to put your foot on as it feels small and awkward. Overall, just buy it, you won't be sorry!

I'm happy you feel the same about it. At the end my balls just wouldn't handle that seat, so it had to go into the hands of someone who spends way less time on the bike than I do. Wish you will enjoy yours for years to come!

Hello guys ! I just finished my moto lessons and I m really interesting with this bike in A2 so 8000rpm max. Do you think it can be a good bike to begin with or is it too hard to pilot ? I live in Paris but I won’t use it for daily drive. Thanks !

How many miles/km? Any issues?
@steveb5938
@steveb5938 3 года назад
@@juanvaldez6321 I've done 4000miles and th bike had 1000 on it when I bought it. The only issue I had was the side stand mount broke and I needed to get MV to replace the lower part of the frame as a result under warranty. NO issues otherwise, it's epic. I'come off 1000cc bikes and I don't feel like I'm missing any power on this.

@@jyexe525 sorry about the late reply! It's twitchy at speed and requires a committed riding style as a result. it has a few riding modes so you can tone down the power till you get used to it. It has a better turning circle that the monster but still not great. I'd say that the monster is less of a handful and a bit better behaved! But if you want a bike that's a bit naughty this is the one!

I have one of these (2015) in the US. This review cracked me up because it's 110% spot on. I don't see many others out here so it's nice to know I'm not the only one with these issues. The headlight is horrific, like the lumen output test failed miserably and MV just shrugged their shoulders and shipped them anyway. The flashlight on my phone is better. BUT regardless, the bike has massive amounts of character; I couldn't imagine not having it.

Sorry to ask, how tall are you? I'm learning to ride on a MT07 and it already feels kinda small for my body size and I was really looking forward to this Brutale.
@todxbranko
@todxbranko 4 года назад
I'm 6ft 210lbs (183cm 96kg) and I know what you mean, I felt the same way about the mt07. Brutale and the mt07 have the same seat height, and tbh, just as far as comfort goes mt07 takes the cake. Brutale has better power tho, so it will haul your big ass around better 😂 jokes aside, most of these middle weight naked bikes around 100hp feel very skinny, you may want to take a Street Triple 765 or a Ducati Monster 821 out for a ride. New BMW F900R also

@@todxbranko Oh man, thank you so much for this tip. I'm 187 cm and 105 kg so I'd feel like a bear on it. I think in the end I'll get what the best deal is on the used market. Yeah, my big ass is also poor! :D
@todxbranko
@todxbranko 4 года назад
If my opinion is of any worth, and you like naked bikes, look for Suzuki Bandit 1250, Honda CB1300, Yamaha XJR1300, I know they are styled a little bit more conventionally but are proper big bikes with ample power and nobody feels small on them. Choices could expand to Kawasaki Versys 1000, Triumph Tiger 1050 (Tiger Sport) and BMW K1300r, most of these bikes can be found used for a decent amount, and mileage doesn't bother them much

I own 2 of these (first one more than 3 years), yep your review is fairly good! They run hot because they need air to cool down, as it's based on the F3 motor... to run at the right temperatures I find actually riding and not sitting in traffic helps! ;)

Thanks for the video. What about maintenance and reliability?
@todxbranko
@todxbranko 3 года назад
Maintenance is not particularly expensive, oil changes require the oil cooled to be drained, too, that complicates things just a little bit. As far as reliability goes, I haven't had anything break, it never left me stranded and always started. The overflows drip like mad after a spirited ride, so you have to be on top of your liquids always, and that's about it. I don't have it anymore, so I can't say how it continues to live on, can talk only about my own experience with it

original exhaust sound ??? or no
@todxbranko
@todxbranko 2 года назад
No, the exhaust is QD, it's loud and raspy. It's nice on acceleration and deceleration but it drones a lot at constant speed - more than 20 minutes on the highway at constant speed can get really tiring. Original exhaust sounds good, too, but it's a little bit more tamed.

In Dubai
@damonalagich4524
@damonalagich4524 Месяц назад
It's not the bike for riding in Dubai, it is for tight turns and elevation changes- perfect for mountain roads, low gearing it climbs well- as you say 200km legs, you'll need to refuel as it chugs it down when opened up wide everywhere. It hoses big bikes in tight stuff.
@todxbranko
@todxbranko Месяц назад
I agree, we get our share of twisty road and hill climbs but they are at least an hour away from the city, the environment requires a better highway bike, however in Europe, for what's it's much better suited it would be great. I'd still go for the street triple though if looking for older bikes, nowadays this segment is booming
@damonalagich4524

@@todxbranko it depends- buying second hand you have whats available at the time to pick from- I got my 675 for $5200aud 11years old, 27,000kms odo. at the time it was the best value for me to buy. I still think it looks 100x better then the Triumph- I cant have a union jack on my tank! - even if u gave it to me! The triumph has plenty of issues itself also- but parts are easier to get. Lots of the issues you speak of are simple fixes. The cush drive is its biggest failure, the gen 1 had a good design. Bds sell a fix for the cushdrive.
@todxbranko
@todxbranko Месяц назад
About the union jack I really don't know what to say 😄 it's your prerogative, as far as the looks go, I agree, Brutale is a handsome piece of machinery. My preference to street triple is also quite subjective because I prefer the comfort of it and the smoother power delivery. I'm happy you are enjoying your Brutale, and I hope it serves you for a long time, I am sure you're having plenty of fun 😊
