Swire Shipping's first newly built vessel, MV Lae Chief completed its' first maiden voyage from Shangai in China to Lae on Monday.
MV Lae Chief is one of the four newly built ships that is expected to carry two thousand and seven hundred forest products and vehicles up to seventy tonnes.
The vessel was launched yesterday at Lae's Tidal Bassin.
She will continue its' journey to Port Moresby, Townsville, Australia, before returning to Shangai.
