great video, very entertaining and informative. I always wanted to learn how to play magneto, and i find it that people make it easier to use analog on him, which i cannot play with, DPad is what i'm only good at, and i'm ok with the joystick.
@artemadorous there are a couple techniques for this. i prefer the slide. instead of pausing to do the HK/LK you slide your finger down so its one fluid motion. watch some ROM tutorials online that show the hands and you'll see what i mean
@archides With just learning Mags today *Ive playing MvC2 for only 4yrs...This helps a lot. SRK helps as well.. Thanks Magnetro.. Arch scrubs are always trolling in the comment section..
@mature942 look at the date when this video was made. Xbox and PS3 was available for MvC2 online around the summer 0f 2009, so I'm pretty sure this is the dreamcast version.
@hellocrazy1 actually trying to figure out if he's going to crossunder reset or overhead reset, yes i do like that its trying to outsmart and think ahead. its not like theyre teabagging you ffs, its a combo. learn to avoid it or counter their rush down
Probably a question way below the skill level of this tutorial: How do you do the air dash to HK so fast? No matter how quick I pull it off there is a slight delay where the character kind of hovers into the opponent. I am doing: SuperJump -> down/toward + both punches -> HK
@mature942 try cr.HP, sj.HK, addf LK LK, (sj LK LK, addf LK, addf LK)x N. do the air dash kicks by pressing (LP+HP)~LK. ie both punches and then LK a split second after
how long did it take you to master this character ? cuz it's taking me a min to fully learn how to play with him but I'm watching the video now so thanks for posting it
theres alot of terms you use in your vids i dont understand (suki cancel would be one of them) but this video is pretty self explanatory to someone whos been playing for a few month
any one tell me but is this the dreamcast version or the xbox and ps3. another can u go into infinite if i do crouching hp, super jump, hk, air dash downward, lk, lk, super jump. after i super jump i can do another lk, lk but dont know what to do after that. i dont know if it leads into a infinite but yeah. anything will help im a beginner magneto player on mvc2 and just want to know how to do an easy infinite, and tell me the inputs. thanks for reading
yo if i do like 4 reps does that mean that im gettin it down pack cuz its on and off with me at first i b in a hot streak and sometimes i dont so i dont know if im getting it down pack or not
Hey magneto sorry for the low tier question but I can't just get the lk mk infinite right plus it looks like a an easy infinite any tips on how to practise or do this. Thanks for the videos these years.
I got pretty good at it in a 3 month period playing on a controller. I don't use macro dash, LP+HP using X and Y all day. my magneto isn't that good, but I can still do a lot of his shit. my main issue is not knowing the GAME that well, not Magneto.
@garciav91 learn Cable first because he's the easiest character to learn and Magneto is going to be way too complicated if you do not know the basics of him.
whats a reset? ive heard people saying that they use the reset with their mags .. and whats a 100% technique? magnetro2k uses it in his doom infinite vid
@hellocrazy1 I dont play mags or storm or psylocke. That doesnt stop the fast paced characters from being fun. You think doing all those combos on good players is easy? Mags is a great combo character, but he doesn't have the greatest life, you can kill him easily. As for the spamming assist, you know you can double snap and kill the assist character right? punish that shit dont be a baby about it. and FYI they said iron mans tri-jump in mvc3 is faster than storms in mvc2.
I can practice this for hours and hours and hours and still not even land the air dash properly... I dont get how people are so ridiculously good at this game.. Totally ruins the experience of playing it :P
@hellocrazy1 youre whining about a tactic people use to win, do you say the same stuff about team scrub? or a BH team? learn to fight it. theres a reason this game still has a following after 10 years of play.
