Great episode. I would have loved to hear some Mark Bavaro stories. Mr. Simms is a great storyteller and I enjoyed his work as a commentator just as much as his football career for the New York Football Giants.

Was always a fan of Phil Simms. If he hadn’t been injured in 1990 the Super Bowl wouldn’t have come down to a field goal because Phil would’ve put up 30 points.

9:16 We're talking "Back to School" and don't forget the legendary Sam Kinison. My favorite scene is when he's in the hot tub with the girls. When Dr or Professor Diane (whatever the hell) comes in looking for him, he pops up out of the water with goggles and a snorkel, saying, "That's what I call Marine Biology!" He notices the teacher. "Diane? Say hello to my nieces." hahaha forever the best. The save of all saves lol "Say hello to my nieces."

I can say as a fan, Phil was not well liked at all. I remember in '85 he fumbled the snap against the Cowboys with a minute left and a 1 point lead and the Cowboys kicked a FG to win and I don't think any player was ever booed as loudly at Giants Stadium. Then they get shut out by the Bears in the playoffs and there were fan interviews one after another, "He's the worst QB in the NFL! Get rid of him!". New York is the type of place where the rich guys curse the players out in social situations. I think he was 22-25 because he wanted it off his back.

I hope dude doesn't take this as Hate, if he even see's it. Which I'm sure he won't anyway. But man he's gotta let people finish a thought! I'm probably over critical cause I personally can't stand interruption, so it prob wasn't as bad as I thought.. but it seemed like Phil and Julien would be going somewhere about 30 to 40 times, and an untimely interjection of a different topic usually involving himself, really killed the flow. I dont wanna be rude but please somebody politely tell him to work on that

If you actually listened, their producer, Jackie mistakenly gave the stat as 22 of 28, which is 0.785 so Jules rounded up to 80%. The math is fine, but the denominator should have been 25 attempts. Likely some bad handwriting, 5 vs 8, on Jackie's note cards. Good thing Sam recalled it as 22/25 & they have immediate fact-checking. P. S. Your second sentence is grammatically incorrect. Are you an elementary school graduate?
