MXR Distortion + vs Ross Distortion (Black ) Comparison

A comparison between two similar circuits: the MXR Distortion + and the Ross Distortion (black Taiwanese version ).
The reason I manually switch the cables between the two pedals is because the true bypass for both pedals aren't very good.
I find the Ross Distortion to be more tighter, beefier, and aggressive while the MXR Distortion + to be slightly warmer, softer, yet fizzier.
I'm using my Dean Vendetta into my Fender Champion 600. Enjoy!

@@commandhtf Tan back in 76 or 75 before I could drive had a old Fender mustang I used it sound so good together someone broke in and stole it all damn it

I have one of these black Ross distortion pedal. Still surprised at how transparent the gain knob is. It doesn't change your tone, it just adds a really nice grit to it.

Ross was my very distortion. I didn't realize it sounded exactly like the MXR.

I used to borrow a Ross Distortion off my lead singer. I was broke and my Boss Distortion shorted out. I used the Ross for a few months. It was better than nothing. This was in the early 80s, like 82 or 83 I think. Anyway, The Arion Distortion is the best pedal you can get for the $$. I still have the one I bought in 85. Sounds better than the Boss and less than 1/2 the price.
