Personally the SVJ is the only car on the channel I could feel/experience over video. It’s the only one that’s makes me smile every time you rip it. Don’t sell the SVJ, just get it repaired and and you will gain that money spent through the appreciation of the car throughout the next few years. This is like the Lamborghini version of the Carrera GT honestly

I can't believe there is no way to get a teflon seal. There's got to be a company who can duplicate that seal. Mind you the assembly, disassembly and testing would be burdensome. But not 100k i'd imagine. The SVJ is pretty much paired to DDE at this point i'll agree. Plus it's already done tours so it's earned its stripes.

Tip to pour gas oil etc without spilling... Turn the can around so the spout is on the high side. You will have complete control of the pour.

I had a similar issue with my car …it would stop changing gears the engine light would come on just at random while driving after sending it to the company about 10 times they finally figured out it was the battery replaced it and all fine now …worth a shot to try !

@dde the problem from it going to neutral may be a harness problem . A loose connction To a connector plug. Or maybe a oxadised connector and the intermittent connection problem.

Have you guys pressure tested the gearbox to ensure the accumulator is ok? If its losing egear fluid the most common place is within the accumulator. This can also cause the car to go into neutral at low speeds in traffic as the system loses pressure due to multiple gear changes vs on the freeway you hold one gear for a long time.

SVJ, we all love it. Maybe it’s time to put it to pasture in your new garage your building for the fans to come. People can get pictures in the car and it can become the fan car in the merch shop at the gas station. Would be pretty cool we all would love to have our picture taken in it! Save the money put it in to good use by letting us fans be around it- then maybe down the road you get it fixed and put it back on the road. But donate it to the fans until then.

Go to where yall buy used parts first. If not, look into a sequential gear box conversion? Maybe it could be cheaper and sequentials are usually built to be serviceable

WoooW.. this 570 R Maclaren is so much fun to watch, its looking real aggressive and the sound is beautiful 😍😍🤩.
