Regarding him having to pay you back through the court…someone broke into my vehicle and also destroyed the soft top and ripped out every internal speaker and years later I’m still getting a check for something like $10 randomly from the situation because the guy is having to eventually pay for the damages or something through the court. At this point I think it’s more of a pain in my ass having to cash these checks than it’s worth the guy having to pay me back 😂

Now the guy will be charged with felony and vandalism, it will take some days only to repair the windshield and some more days to receive the money back straight by insurance which will then chase the guy up to get the money through court system or similar. When I drive around a neighborhood in a loud car I always find it hilarious when people come out to yell at me I stop in like 3 feet (good brakes, good suspension, good tires, actually not speeding) and calmly ask them what it was they said and it's always name calling and "you were speeding" when I JUST stopped in a few feet right in front of them I CLEARLY was not speeding. People see sporty car and loud exhaust and assume the speed.
