Here's my straddle planche progression from 2012-2013. They are no where near perfect, but I hope this video motivates some people! I took most of 2014 off from planche training because of my injury, but I will come back even stronger in 2015! Stay tuned :D

What's great about what you're doing Dan is your sharing of your less-graceful and less successful moments. This illustrates your innocence (not worrying about appearances) and pursuit to perfection. Thanks for being so REAL. Many hide the truth. Right-on buddy.

Awesome progress, I'm working through on my own planche joining and this is definitely inspiring me to keep pushing forward with it. Easily one of the most challenging and complex skills I've ever encountered, but remarkably rewarding, I've noticed increased upper body strength in so many other areas since I started working tuck planche 6 months ago.

Greatly appreciate the progression video. With the instant gratification mentality that society has pushed on us it's easy to get discouraged when you don't feel you're making much progress. Puts thing in perspective when someone more advanced still needs more than a year to solidify one specific move. Thanks. Looking forward to a nice long planche from you.

SO GOOD! Thank you for putting in the work of filming, editing and publishing this video. It's very inspirational to someone like me whose calisthenics goals seem very far away. Commitment and perseverance. Respect :)

What I like about this video is that progress in 1 year may seem very modest, but it's actually what calisthenics/gymnastics about. The key in our sport is consistence. Why? Because to master some advanced movement like planche u have to keep dedication for long years. And I'm always sceptical about videos that are called something like "1 year transformation" because you can't achieve much in only 1 year, but this video is a different story, the guy keeps it real showing minor results to teach us simple lesson Don't give up!

Beautiful video. Love how you combine the planche progression with breakdance moves, I'm sure it makes things a thousand times harder. Will start working on my planche as soon as I get my back levers on lock. Big up!

I've never attempted a planche in my life and 3 months ago I started and could already do an advanced tuck planche and one leg cycle. I'm already doing straddle planche push ups but could never post it because it is nowhere near perfect. I admire this man for showing the world his progression through arguably one of the most intense exercises out there. Bravo to you and a well earned subscription!

this is awesome, i started training to a planche myself and its hilarious because i can see myself in the progression in every step, im still working on mine but im 3 months into it. i feel the success, love it!

+Mason Meyer Hey, I do gym like 4 times a week and I want to learn the planche too, do I have to train specific muscles or it's all about practicing the exercices that he was doing , or it's both?

Questions (as I'm stationed here in Asia--Singapore--with a desire to achieve the same): 1. Should we work on our one-handed push-ups? Does push-up strength help in progressing Planche or Levers? 2. Should we do barbell training as well, to make our progress faster? 3. Do you practice everyday? If so, what's the best routine to do for progress Thanks
@DanJeongg
@DanJeongg 8 лет назад
1. Push up is bent arm strength and planche is straight arm strength. they are two different animals 2. I don't lift, ever. So it's not required 3. I do some kind of workout everyday, whether that's strength work, mobility work or etc. I do not planche everyday

I injured myself too :( man shoulders is really easy to injure muscle... need good warm up every time you want to perform a trick... that sucks.. sometimes I just want to do a trick but without warm up its like have a sex without a condom with random girl... 50% 50% percent change to injure yourself without warm up... please learn on my mistake! there is nothing worst then be close to get trick done and won't be able to train anymore for months
