@@daro2404 I'm not exactly a dedicated fan I guess. I've always watched the Olympics of course but I've only really started following gymnastics for the past few months. I guess that's probably why I knew it was a popular skill but didn't realize how often it was used as the final pass.
@@r.m.2737 like I said I'm not a very dedicated fan and have only recently really started watching but now that I've noticed I cant unsee it. Double Pikes everywhere.
Asia Could clearly add at least .5 twist to that last pass, she literally waits for the landing lmao Also, poor Pavlova… she was robbed of so many medals it hurts 😣 The gymnastics judges never gave her as much of a chance as the U.S./Chinese stars and it hurts
my personal faves are pavlova, nastia, and vika because of their drama and elegance, but ivana's is beautiful as well! also, chellsie's floor ending at 2008 trials is so iconic, and flavia's from the past couple of years is so fun! congrats on 2k :)))
My fav has to be Sandra Izbasa’s save on her last tumbling pass. It fit so dramatically with the music and the last pose was just the cherry on top lmao. I don’t remember which competition though I’ll try to find it 😂
I love watching gymnastics, I fell in love when my brother was training, nobody understood why I could watch them train for hours after school etc. But the women’s floor is definitely my least favourite apparatus, I’m really not into all the music, dancing and posing. Or the sparkles and makeup. What does it add to demonstrating their amazing skills? It just doesn’t seem to me to fit into the realm of serious sports, kind of brings it down.
