Thank you Nobby for the interesting tour. My own Myford Super 7 is of a similar vintage and is my favourite machine in my workshop. Congratulations on 100 videos and over 1,000 subscribers. 👏👏👍😀

Great tour Nobby You have some great tooling. 👍👍👍👍👍👍 I had to wait ages to pick up my Tri Leva Myford over 20 years ago, as they are few and far between, it had suffered some slight scaring on the very front of the bed from a previous owner sawing at the chuck end, but beacuase they are rare i had to forego that minor issue, (I had a ML7 prior to this) I wouldn't be without the tri leva, some people don't like them as they don't work well with slippage on the belts, but it's only because they don't set the mechanism, correctly and regularly becuase of belt stretch. I have never had toruble with mine and it has seen many many hours of use and many projects just from me alone. We are only the custodians of any kind of machine, but i plan to wear mine out before my toes curl upwards🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 See you next time regards Kev

Thanks Kev. I'm so pleased to own this lovely machine. Didn't realise your Myford was a Tri Leva. Rare machine and very expensive when they come on the market now. Cheers Nobby

Well done on your 100th video Nobby 👍👍👍 They very soon mount up. Threading dials on lathes are absolute magnets for chips! Always a good idea to remove it if you are not going to use it. Cheers, Alan.

Nice lathe.I think the main advantage of the ML7R is a larger bore through the spindle. I have a ML7 with similar tooling. I did make the lathe variable speed with an inverter and 3 ph motor which worked out well. I saw the mod on Steve Jordans video.

Hi there! I think I bought my Super 7 in '82. I had hoped to upgrade from that to the larger bore machine but the company closed and I missed my chance just as I could finally afford the step up. So I've been steadily adding stuff to my one and only. It's a wonderful machine with very few faults.

That's one problem I have occasionally, is the small bore size on the Myford. It's a pity they didn't make them all with a one inch bore. Cheers Nobby

I swapped my ML7 to a Fenner link belt, I couldn't believe how quiet it became.

Thanks Philip that's useful to know. Myford said the link belt may be noisy compared to the v-belt. But you're the second person to tell me otherwise. Thank you. Cheers Nobby
