My 1210 died, but the operation was a success and the 1210 is now recovering 

@DjCantFuckinMIx Thank you very much for all your feed back and your kind words. As for the mixer .. yeah so far it seems fine. I haven't noticed any problems. although the BPM meters don't really work for drum and bass, I have given them a good try, but they seem to work better with house or dance or anything with a solid 4/4 beat. but I'm not bothered because I hate BPM readouts any way, I think they are cheating, I like to use my ears. thanks again for your comment. nice one!!!

@MegaSg01 thank you, I'm trying to do more Technics video but to be honest with you I'm struggling to find time to do them, what with Christmas coming up and the extra work iv had coming in lately, but i will try to get some more up soon. i got a couple of mod video i got to do so they will be the next Technics videos to do. thanks for your comment. nice one!!!

Thanks I have the same problem with mine I think it is the d1265 transistor as I had replaced it to change the pop up light then it started doing the mad speed, then erratic I think it blew the same resistor as I saw smoke coming from that area.

Frank, that's just it man! It's the 'down to earthness' of your videos I really like! I found you on a video about changing technics phono cables, only to subscribe and see your other vids. Even when you're doing the most mundane stuff, you commentary and talkthroughs are entertaining and (maybe unintentionally??) funny. Why not send these to a TV company? You certainly know enough to do a DIY show!

I would love to see a video where you compare an original 1200 mk2 (manufactured between 1979 and 1984) with a later mk2 (90s or 00s model). The chassis is completely different as is the configuration of the electronics. Cheers

Hi James, my Q1 and Q2 transistors on technics 1210 mk5 has gone off and am not able to find a similar one in India. Please can you suggest an alternative to these ones in your technics board (Q1,Q2) as seen in the video

When I turn on my deck, the strobe, target light, and pitch led all light up, but quickly shut off and the turntable does not power back on. What do you think this problem is most likely attributed to?

i hope you can reply my post... i have THE SAME PROBLEM!!!... i turnd on my technics after remove the cover to adjust the pitch (follow the instruction of your pict adjustment video) and when i turned on a spark came from inside!!! holy cow!... i remove the entire board to check and one of those transistors are really fcked up! its completle broken (one of the transistor that control the power)... ill try to replace it and ill make a response video

Hiya mate, Got a bit of a problem with my mrk 3s I replaced the target light as instructed in your other videos now my pitch keeps skipping all over the shop??? It looks like the voltage keeps surging as the red led power light keeps dimming and brightening??? Any suggestions? Cheers

i'm getting haunted at the moment my Technics wont power up but funny thing is it failed to power up so i left and it came back an hour later and it powered up and i had a nice mix session. then a day later same thing again no power and after a few random flick on and off between 5 min intervals bingo its was on. this time its failed to come on matter how long i wait

I'm looking for someone to help me in a problem also with my Technics. I opened them and tried to repair the target light and I messed up. I did not know anything about voltage or electronics, and made a kind of electric shock, when I was changing the lamp and I was worried, but when I closed the dish to try to connect it, he died too! Is there any possibility to also be the resistance?
