Beautiful car, and it is refreshing to see original equipment. My '66 MGB roadster was all original in British racing green black interior and only one color change, white seats. The tonneau storage sleeves in the trunk, are a reminder on how complete my car was. Mine also had a working Astrosonics tube radio from a '64 MGB, not original to a '66, but the tube radio produces great sound.

A wonderful job on the MGB. A very detailed restoration - as with your AH100. As a Yank, I have to ask about your interesting pronunciation of the word "decal". We pronounce that to rhyme with "The Pal" here in the States. Thanks for this inspiring video.

Beautiful restoration. ! I sold my 64 B last year . I missed it so much I had to replace it. I now have a 63 which I intend to restore as original as possible as a go anywhere at any time , reliable daily driver, with as high a degree of workmanship as possible. I am fortunate I have a long back ground with Brit cars and in particular MGs, and have a substantial stash of parts. Your car and video are inspirational. I am going to contact you about interiors . Thanks from So. Oregon.

Beautiful and a great restoration. Those original period correct Bs are pieces of historical art. I love the banjo steering wheels.

Beautiful restoration in the best colour combo, with Iris Blue a close second!

I have a 1973 B Roadster which I purchased brand new in August of 1973. It is completely original in every way. And looks like a one to two year old car that's been perfectly maintained. I just wonder what the car would be worth now?

Good Morning, I have a question about the front "wing" mirrors. It is my understanding that side mirrors were not factory, but dealer installed. This was the case when I worked for a BMC dealership 1968-1972. I have never seen instructions for MGB placement of the original LUCAS mirror from any source. I am curious about the placement of your mirrors. Were these installed when you bought the car? If they were not, what was your reference for their location or a choice of your own ? Would you mind offering the placement of the mirrors on your car as in distance from the edge of the headlamp rim back to the center post, and I will assume they are installed in the center of the fender left to right. And a last question, do you find them adequate, serviceable where they are. ? Thanks.

The mirrors were already installed when I got the car - roughly centered above the wheel arches, slightly outboard of L/R center. They were quite adequate, but need someone to help adjust them for you, and annoyingly get bumped out of position easily.

I have watched the video several times. I note an anomaly... some times the front turn signal/parking lamp l lenses are all clear and some clear and orange. Which is correct, which are you using now? Thanks nerdly,
@geoffchrysler
@geoffchrysler Год назад
This car always had white/clear lenses - most early cars had clear, orange seems to have been made standard around late 1964.

@@geoffchrysler Thanks Geoff. I had clear lenses on my 64 and now on my 63. Would I be correct that you use an orange bulb on the outer socket?

It appears the clear lenses were standard on 66 USA Bs. I changed mine when I put mine back to original specification.

@@peterclapson6785 I am confused. Clear lenses were standard on 66 MGBs.. what about the other 525,000 plus? Or did you mean 1966 Bs and no others.? Or 1962-1966? You changed yours's from what and went back to what original specification? Thanks Dim Sum

Beautiful '64 "B", I've got a '64 too. Mines not like this one though (custom chassis&suspension, 500hp SBC, 4-speed)ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JGuzZPH9TNk.html
