I've had my 66 stang since I was 15. I'm 35 now and it has come along way. Taking down unsuspecting porches, new mustangs, ricers.etc If my dynomax mufflers don't shift into awesome mode soon I will be installing these as well.
I will say kid, that might be the best gear set up I've seen in a long time, the rearend it perfect matches for cam and transmission, who ever is responsible is a badass.
This brings me back to when I was your age. Couldn't afford a full exhaust on my Firebird so I had turn downs just like your did. Later on I added a full system with my Thrush Turbo mufflers and it made it a lot easier to live with; inside the car. Plus I could finally hear my sterio! :) Keep on wrenching young Man!
I'm a young man in my 60's with a 65 coupe. Your intro put a smile on my face. Loved the garage, your exhaust sounded like a ticket getter lololol.(good thing), keep up the good work young man.
Absolutely love you your car Ben! It was a pleasure meeting you at Bob’s. Hopefully once the COVID threat is done we can all get back to car shows again.
THIS IS IT!!!! THIS EXHAUST!!!!😍👏👏 This is the sound I’ve been looking for whole my life. It’s not the loudest, but it’s loud. Definitely loud enough😂 And the sound itself is... just... good!😍
I'm a little late to the video but I have to see I prefer the mufflers before ... the black widows sound cool.. I mean a V8 always sounds cool.... but whatever you had before... thrush welded / FM 40 ... that is my favorite sound on a 302.... its like that weird metallic pinging at idle sound but then that weird muffled WRRRRRREEEOOOOOOOO sound ( thats probably accurate onomanapeia) I just love that.... Fox body 5.0s ALWAYS had a welded muffler I always thought they sounded the best ... at the same time its nice to sound "different" and if I were shooting a film and needed a hero car to stand out I MAY go with something like the black widow... or if you have 2 cars you want them to have different tones... an aggressor and a runaway
Love your ride! I liked the old exhaust. But saying that, it's what you really like, and go with that!. I had a 67 mustang in high school. Miss it to this day and I'm 53. You just enjoy that car and don't sell it. Cheers. I just subscribed.
Just found your channel, I'm 16 and daily drive a 67 Mustang Hardtop with the factory 4 speed and 289 with a 2 barrel. We got it from the original owners in 2014, and it still has the original am/fm radio (which works), and even the original spare tire and a bunch of other stuff.
Hey Ben I added a vid of my stang. It's nothing compared to your vid and editing by a long shot but it gives you a peek of what the local rice have to keep up with.
Savage Mustang! I was in california before first note I saw was the big cars. There are no muscle car's in germany I tell you that. But there is this rusty running dodge charger 68 in my mind... some day some how
This sounds amazing and I know I'm late to the party, but I'm looking to upgrade my 65's exhaust as well. I already have long tubes, so this is probably the way to go. Do you have an X or an H pipe? Also, what engine is in this beast?
The black widows sound awesome. I've got a 66fb and am trying to figure out new mufflers. How loud are these in the car for around town cruising/easy driving. Much like your video with you girlfriend, I'm trying to comprimise between sounding cool and wanting my wife to be willing to ride in the car! Can you carry n a convorsation without yelling?
I'm 23 years old, and my grandparents told me to scrap the car in my profile picture, and keep their old 1965 Mustang coupe with the 4 speed and 347 stroker. The thing is that it was restored with a motor and transmission from another 1966 mustang, and some of the interior parts from a 1998 mustang GT. The speedometer reads well up to 140 MPH. My grandmother bought a dodge charger, and doesn't want the mustang anymore, so she persuaded me to keep their old car. My plans for it are to put a fire extinguisher in it, some racing belts, and my grandfather wants me to put a decent automatic in it because of my disability. I don't know if the C4 Automatic is a great point to start. It's not all original, so I'm not really worried, plus the car was supposed to be a reflection of my personality.
66 Mustang - Auto at the moment but have a T10 to install, lowered like yours, mild cam Holley and Edelbrock manifold. Blue with white interior. I'm thinking of putting the Shelby front on mine also.BTW just ordered a T shirt :-)
I’m debating on the 250s, or the race venoms, or even the widow makers. Yours sounds loud but do you think it would still sound good with an even louder muffler?? I’m kinda leaning towards the widow maker
Four Speed Films it’ll be easier to make a video because I’m looking into building a car and my first thought was a 67 mustang. Me asking questions would have us commenting back and forth all day lol
This thing is awesome, Is your trans aftermarket though? I just got a 66 and my reverse is up and to the left instead of down. Mine is also a four speed. Thanks!
