Hey Woodworkers! Today we finally got away from making Jigs and culminated what I like to think of as 6 months of learning with another project. We made our FIRST Edge Grain Cutting Board! I'm incredibly proud of it and happy with how it turned out. I was able to utilize almost everything I've learned up until this point to see this project through, and all of those lessons learned along the way paid dividends.
It was a relatively smooth build with little to no bumps along the way. I would say that with the right tools this can be a beginner level project that ANYONE can do! I have always loved the natural beauty in handmade cutting boards, and when making them yourself, you're able to control the overall thickness to achieve a butcher block quality board.
