Going to a multi part build series on my 2001 XJ that I basically use to go Golfing. I have avoid driving because of some improper setups and lack of being properly built. Hope you enjoy! I am still very new to all of this.
You did the Motive 4:88 gears in my TJ about 3 years ago now and they are still great. You also did a rear disc brake conversion off of a ZJ while you had it. -Chris Pannell
I can't say for sure it would've worked for you if the bushing was made wrong or the wrong size, but I've always put the bushing in the freezer and torched the axle. They press in easy and I've had a few where they just needed a hammer
Man I wish I had your knowledge. I’m a first time 2000 Cherokee xj owner and I keep throwing money hoping it will fix the issue but haven’t had any luck. Paid 1500 for it and have spent 2000 trying to fix the issue with no luck
I’ve never had to grind the axle bushings to make them fit. I’ve done them 3 times now and each time ive went with trailforged “HD bushings” with 1/2” bolts and drill out the upper arms. I’ve also like to add ive done 2 yukon gear swaps now and on a cherokee and JKU and both times i used factory shims and it came out perfect.
To install axel seals I've always hade a hard time i just tried putting a swivel on the socket and you can put a extension on it and then so it alone ez
I always wanted to get one of those front axles and do a solid axle swap on my 96 Silverado. There's a kit you can buy and you also need the axle too. Crazy as it sounds still cheaper than a new crap trucks there making these days.
Loving your videos man! Keep it up! By the way I’ve got a 99 2 door Cherokee. Looking for a overhead console with the wiring harness! Think you have one hiding in your Cherokee’s somewhere!? 😅
Definitely like the Chanel keep the hard work o own a low number legacy special edition 2004 jeep Noone around here never seen one an soon she hits 300000 miles and time fir overhaul and I'm clueless what to do even being mechanic minded got any advise.
I was a parts manager for a diesel repair shop in the town I live in. Those Parts that you buy off of rock auto or other Companies like worldpac/FMP are cheep for a reason. Most of what they sell has not passed quality inspection especially when it comes to Motorcraft/AC/Mopar etc... those companies buy the rejected parts at a huge discount and is why they are able to sell cheaper
Hey dexx😂 you got any axle upgrades swap vids for a dana 30 axle on a 98 zj? Winter is coming plus a pinion crush press?? Idk but if anything thank you in advance 🎉🎉🎉
@dexjeeps thanks for responding the Trans that I put in my 93 was from 89 then I found out the 93 was 1 or 2 years only I'm thinking about adapting chevy Trans since I can't get mine to shift correct. Thanks for even responding .like what you do
So I’ve got a 96 Cherokee with the same lift kit on it and i have to remove the front driveshaft as it’s making a weird noise when getting up to speed, problem is i don’t see any access to the bolts of the shaft without dropping the crossmember,(which I’d rather not do in the driveway), do you have any suggestions or should i just bit the bullet and have my neighbors do it a his shop ??
im thought the taper on one of them is different on the Wj knuckle .. Maybe not just sorting though information before i put it together and realize something is wrong . . @@dexjs
Hey Dex how much for the lifted jeep you made a short video with making fun of the kids that do the stupid rest shit with the vape in your hand? I'm looking for a jeep I can turn into a camping rig for my little family. Love all the videos by the way your doing great 👍 thanks for all the entertainment
