Hello there; so for those have you that have been watching my channel for a while or for those of you that have kindly recently started following my kit building adventure, welcome and thank you. I have been releasing multiple haul unboxing vids (25+) over the past few months, that have culminated in my now rather large and eclectic collection of over 500, 1/72 and 1/35 model kits, many may have scratched their heads and thought "what is this 'muppet who makes models badly' doing? is he mad?" the answer is maybe, though i have been assembling this collection in preparation for what i call my "YOU CHOOSE MY NEXT BUILD" which offers you the viewers to watch reviews of multiple kits and then select, via voting in the comments section which kit i build next. Hope you have chance to watch the "Novice Modeller/Muppet who makes models badly" progress on his 8 year journey into the world of this model making malarkey, where he tries to conquer his mid life crisis, through building kits and having an occasional beer and sampling an occasional obscure whiskey.

Hi Andy. My god you've got it bad , I like your optimism. I know that you have said before that you have enough models for the next 8 years. Well I think that it will be more like 18 years my friend. I have enough kits to last me for my life which is why I will not be buying any more. I,ve had 6 on the go and I managed to finish one last weekend. You are also doing the same. You have some work load if you think that you will get round to building them all. But hey, who am I to talk ? I have been doing this for forty five years ! I do still enjoy it though. It gives me immense pleasure. So I hope that you enjoy them all. Maybe once you have exhausted the country theme you could move onto a type theme , you know like nightfighters,medium bombers,heavy bombers,attack aircraft. You get what I mean. But that is a lonnnggg way off yet. So back to the grind. Those four ugly one's that you showed at the end , maybe have them as a formation flying team ? Then you can paint them in whatever colours you like. Well done on the video. Good luck bud.

Yes there is a few Brian, though i shall see how i progress, the finnish set is the largest, Italians, French, Russian are pretty big the others are perhaps 10 per set. yes may change the selection process at some point but for the foreseeable it'll be countries, though might have to do 109's at some point as there is a stack of those to choose from LOL.

Pretty comprehensive, Andy. Do you have a VL Myrsky? That was an indigenous design, and a pretty decent one as I understand. Special Hobby does a 1/72 Myrsky II.

You have some very interesting kits there and it's always nice to watch model boxes because of the box art. I like the biplanes and having built the Matchbox Lysander I'm curious to see what the Dora model , more recent but shortrun kit is worth. I've never touched resin kits because there are no pins or markers for the glue and the parts who are not on sprues are fragile or difficult to cut out of their resin support , so goodluck with that. It will make aan interesting video. Cheers

Hey Andy, it's great to see a video like this and catch up on past and future ideas and kits. I think you might be approaching Mickeys collection size . I'm slowly getting back to building after getting the room back. But you know what happens when you get organized, you can't find anything :-) which slows the building process but it had to be done and the new set up will help soon. I might be buying a kit after meeting a chap through Scale Mates. It won't be too many but he did have a kit I can't find here in the colonies, so I may give it a go. International freight is a killer for sure. He's checking on rates from Denmark. Cheers Bob

New Lagg in 1/48 coming out. Lesser known over the Yaks but looks nicer I think. Maybe Arma Hobby but can't remember. Oops. Happy modelling

@griffn14 you like those? i bought them ages ago March perhaps, its true the seller sent me 4 instead of the 2 i ordered, must have been desperate to get rid of them PMSL, they were bought for an early series of 3 vids i did called "is this the worst model kit ever" i will be returning to this theme at some point as have some real nasty looking kits including a nice/awful set of 5 Fairey Fulmars. Coming Soon LOL.

Hi Andy,doing a Finnish tank at the moment by Mirage. Lots of parts but awful instructions you have to re-read 80 times. Obviously not done by a modeller go figure. Enjoy your kit delivery room for Mrs.Stash :-). As a kid of the 60s,Airfix was a life saver in the 70s for me. Car wash with bucket,earn 25p buy series 1. I was no businessman and middle aged men in the 70s were tight b######ds!!! Our gen fixed that a lot as I can see with you spending at least a fiver a week on models he he. So it's surprisingly like getting prezzies watching your videos,something that never happened so now like you me and the plastic monster do the waltz quite regularly. I lije the fact you delve into any and every company. Azur and Special Hobby should get way more praise when you think of the aircraft they do often unheard of. Love the RS Morko Morane,big fan of the 406 and 520. Just got the Heinkel 115 as well. Very successful and well made aircraft. Looks lumbering but was probably Germany Short Sunderland in many ways. RS and AZ can be quite crisp but again do some great subjects. Thanks for your videos. Always enjoy with a cuppa and a wagon wheel. Modelling is fun but also good therapy and artistic. Best hobby in the world. Teaches history and nice our gen keeps it well and truly alive. Much respect brother.

hello again @RedViking2020 i only fell down this rabbit hole in February after getting a 1/32 Revell Iron Maiden Spit for Chrismas (currently unbuilt) i started by building a collection of 30 odd Spits for practice purposes called my "Dirty Dozen" and now i seem to have 500 kits piled up all over the place and a nice little channel with some fine folks helping me and taking the time to watch my kinda bizarre journey. i agree with the theory that this is a nice little form stress of stress relief and interesting from the historical point of view also though my bank manager and therapist disagree LOL. I think the variety of kits available is quite astounding and do like the rarer kits though also have a few horrors kits that i have reviewed previously and will be doing some of those also (the orange boxed PZL is an example of this kind of kit, a real blast from the past NASTY LOL). thanks very much for your interest in my bizarre little channel, my hope is to release roughly a vid per day and try to get into the habit of starting/building roughly a kit per 8 days and with 500 to go at, well that works out at 8 years of RU-vid time so i'll be around for a bit best regards andy be seeing you.

Aero is Czech i believe. Love the biplanes,not heard of the Potez 25A2,lovely,Spesh Hobby does it again. Aero looks nice too. Reminds me of the DH.4,9. Be warned Mistercraft decals are terrible. Thick,out of register but more annoying is frequently often supplied with half the advertised markings missing. The numbers never correspond to the instructions and ive even had nattional insignia missing. Why they give them a fancy name is beyond me. Worse decals and quality control in the hobby. Sometimes they will advertise 8+ decals but depending on which country you live in you get half that amount. An occasional buildable kit as a scratch build project but whats advertised and what you get is a lucky dip. However with you stash theres a good chance you can use decals of a better kit. Mistercraft thinks its still 1980.😢 Lets hope yours is all good. Great vid

Thanks there was such a great variety with the Finnish A.F due to there rather interesting procurement strategy. i have had fun building this collection, Yes a couple of others have commented on the Mistercraft decals and kit quality, but i am happy to have a go at anything LOL. i have 3 kits from this selection currently in the process of having paint thrown at them so hopefully they fill be finished in the next week or so.

Remember the hawker harts were Swedish flew with Swedish volunteers A great but very rare book and very expensive. About that unit and aircraft it operated

I think the Blenhiem was £10-12 @jefthing so seems a reasonable price, i can buy a really nice better quality one at some point i just need to get these Finnished first. LOL.
