Once again thanks for responding......you mentioned getting a tune........so your saying the ECU won't adjust or the tune will be the most effective increase in horsepower? Are you familiar with the Stillen generation 2 CAI....it has the dry type filters which also contain velocity venturi to increase airflow and it comes with sealed heat shields for each of the CAI filters? Do they really make a difference compared to just putting in aFe dry intake filters which z1 sales?
Hey. So, I have an install video of it on my channel with a direct link. However, ebay has since killed that link. Try this link now: www.ebay.com/itm/370Z-Cubby-Insert-Blank-Button-Delete-Phone-Change-Misc-Holder-Z34-/333568814093?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Hello how are you? I wanted to ask about the cerwin vega subwoofer......I thought you couldn't add a speaker to the Bose system due to it's proprietary wiring/circuitry? I was always told Bose system only works with Bose. Is this subwoofer plug and play? Thank you Also is the cold air intake really worth the money? I ask because I've heard folks say the OEM box has tubes running to the outside already and the boxes don't hold heat either? Please your thoughts.......... Oh one last question is it worth having a backup camera installed? Thank you
Hey! Let me break apart my responses in pieces. I did not wire the subwoofer into the BOSE amp/wires. I have a dedicated video on this channel that walks through the process. The Cerwin Vega Amp has its on internal Amp. I just had to run power and wires to the back of my head unit. Highly suggest you check out my dedicated video on it for reference. Definitely a believer in the intakes. Works best when tuned. The difference between a tuned z oem vs one with z1 intakes for instance? Couldn't say. I would say if you already plan to tune, you might as well get aftermarket intakes to get a better intake sound, and response. I definitely noticed a pickup in power, sound, and response. Worth it imo.
Highly suggest a backup camera. Rearview backup camera is good, but a bigger screen would be better. While you are at it, you should consider replacing your backup bulbs with bright led bulbs. Adds confidence when backing up at night.
@@NVSTRZ34 hello thank you for responding. I watched your video $6100 in mods..... 😲. But I can't say anything.........I just purchased a 2009 370z Touring w/sport package ( the dealer owned the car! ) Excellent condition fully loaded except for the backup camera. Nissan has the OEM $739 so that's why I asked about that. Anyways, as I was saying......I've already purchased the the JDM 4th light from z1, mishimoto radiator, 25 row setrab oil cooler, stillen transmission cooler, it came w/ Mishimoto intake tubes & k&n intake filters, Injen true duel catback full exhaust, fast intentions high flow resonated cats.......3200...in mods! 😆 Ridiculous and lastly I've been on the fence about an intake system! I was looking at the Stillen generation 2 cold air intake $639 I think....that's a shit load of money for an intake system. That's why I asked if it were really worth investing because the OEM tubes are already coming from outside the engine bay and the plastic air boxes retain no heat either....so I'm jus stuck on the fence. You mentioned the Admin CAI system. Have not viewed it as of yet. I seen someone with the HKS CAI suction kit system......$925......I was like that's insane and is it really worth it
Either way... you will probably end up tuning. Z1 to go on the cheap side, admin if you want to spend a little extra and pick up a few more horsepower here and there. Both of them are excellent options.
Great video, only thing I would change is a list of time stamps for each mod in the description, as I currently can't find the part of the video discussing the clutch spring upgrade! :D
@@HirschPower Sure. Also, I have a dedicated video about the clutch spring on this channel that covers it more in depth if you were interested. Thanks!
Perfect timing. Weather is nice. I still think a front sway is a great budget mod (even if on stock suspension otherwise). Not sure if my link in the video description above still works for the front sway bar or not. Can't remember if it was listed on Amazon for the front bar only. If not, just buy elsewhere. If you browse around, many suggest the front bar alone is just fine, and that was my experience as well. Take care 🤘
Hello Wayne! Thanks for your comment and support. The answer is no. This is a good question I researched before installing myself. The overwhelming information I found was to not worry about it. I did not, and noticed no weird issues at all. Hope that helps. Let me know if there are any other questions. Thanks! -Justin
A front sway bar helps keep the front nice and level (so it minimizes the car feeling like its leaning while turning). A front sway bar is an excellent upgrade for the the Z. Highly recommend the Hotchkis front sway. Dont even need a rear sway on the Z.
@@HirschPower I think you might be looking at a package deal (front AND rear). I paid about $200 for the front bar. Rear bar is widely regarded as not needed based upon some research I found before buying. HIGHLY recommend it. Definitely had way less body roll after install.
@@NVSTRZ34 You’re right, I was. Might be ordering one tomorrow if they have a deal. I’m also interested in ordering the BC Racing BR style type true coils but, like you said in the video, you need to buy some other parts as well to fit them which is really swaying my decision because I don’t exactly want to buy them all.
The only clutch mod I have done so far is the clutch pedal spring mod. I have low miles, so my car's clutch still grabs great... for now. If the CSC goes out, I have my parts list ready to go 😆👍
