I loved that you included the price range about the places you like. It would be great to have a video about price ranges that are common there about food, so tourists like me don't get deceived just because we are tourists. :D
You have just wonderful videos and film style. Going to Paris in August for my first international trip, so excited! Thanks for sharing yoyr local perspective :)
De rien !!! J'espère que vous allez apprécier votre voyage de noces à Paris ! Il y a tellement de belles choses à voir, à faire et d'excellents restaurants à tester :)
You are so pretty and I enjoyed this video. I will be leaving for Paris in the next 2 weeks and thanks for all the wonderful tips. I will be looking for Asian restaurants once I get tired eating the european dishes.
Ok I do like the diversity of restaurants but honestly the last thing I want is to go to Paris and eat food I can eat here in the US. Maybe something saying “non French” disclaimer would be nice for those hoping to eat Asian-Mediterranean food rather then French. But I have plenty of that where I live, do you have a video with actual French food dinning recommendations?
Great recommendations!! They all look good. My wife and I might try a couple of your suggestions when we're there in a few weeks. We have already booked Dersou, and trying to also get a reservation at Septime.
That's wonderful! For Septime it is super hard to get a reservation without actually going there in person and asking... if you're staying more than 2 weeks I recommend you try and go directly to the restaurant to ask for a reservation. Otherwise I'll also recommend you try La Cave du Septime for drinks and aperitive plates, and the Clamato (which are both next to the Septime and from the same group). If you like Neo Bistro-style I would also highly recommend a reservation at Tomy&co (7th arrondissement)!
I am going to France in two days. I like your recommendation. I will definitely try at least 4 of them. The French food is too rich. It's great to know there are good alternatives. Thank you.
Bonsoir! Je m'appelle Saki. I really enjoyed the video and the previous videos too. I will visit Paris in end of June and I am looking for the places to eat in Paris. It's really hard for non-french speakers to find the right restaurants. So this kind of video is really helpful! I want to watch this kind of video more.
Bonsoir Saki! (are you from Japan?..) Welcome to my channel! I'm really glad you appreciate this kind of video. I'll try to do more so I can share more good restaurants with you guys! ;-) Hope you'll make the most of your stay in Paris in June!
That's cool :) I don't have that many comments so I can reply to each of them! I loooove Japan so much! Last time I came it was in 2010 but I'm planning on returning this summer! ;-)
It's nice to hear that! You might know it, but I highly recommend you to go to Kyoto where you can see many Japanese traditional architecture. It only takes about 2 and a half hours from Tokyo by bullet train!!
Hi, just to say thank you for the suggested places to eat. My wife and I absolutely loved Mokonuts, definitely will be returning. We also tried Pierre Sang, but unfortunately, a little disappointed. Meals were well cooked, but certain dishes the flavours didn’t go together very well, or overwhelmed the primary ingredient. Dersou was awesome, another place that I would return to. All the best with the vlogging!
Un tres bon restaurant a mon avis: le chameleon, peut etre un peu plus cher que ceux là, mais le menu change chaque semaine. Et merci pour la video de nous faire decouvrir ces restaurants.
Bonjour, I am heading to Paris in June and I have already booked Pierre Sang. Can you recommend a spot for seared foie gras and duck confit! Merci boucoup
France is not Asia ;-) many Parisians do speak English (not all, and not always very well but usually enough if you want to get help or ask a question) and pretty much all touristic places have English signs / menus / translations... but for the best little restaurants etc. you'll have to get a little help. But usually even in those restaurants you have someone who speaks English.
Thanks! Yes it would be a nice thing to learn a few phrases, but French people don't always expect tourists to speak French... we know it is a difficult language to learn, even for us French people!
C'est le but, Paul ! (niark niark ;-) J'espère que t'auras l'occasion de tester ces adresses si tu les connais pas déjà, et n'hésite pas à donner ton avis dessus en commentaire si jamais ;-)
Hi, I will surely visit one of the restaurants recommended by you. I have one question about tipping in Paris. I remember that tipping is no longer mandatory in Europe but what is your take about this? Thanks
Hi! Tipping is indeed optional in Paris, but I would say that people are more likely going to tip in fancier restaurant rather than fast-eating places - although, there is no rules. I would advise to give 5%-10% of the total bill to be generous, but usually Parisians often give out just a few coins, like 2-3 euros when they eat in a casual place.
Hi! Those arrondissements are all great areas to stay in, but of course, the price for the appartments/hotels are also expensive. It all really depends on your budget, what kind of neighborhood you like most (calm and quiet or busy and lively at night...), where you want to go mostly in Paris, etc.
Bonjour, Love your videos, Im going to share on my Facebook page "Stacys Must Love Travel" I am a travel agent and have never been to Paris, I will be coming in June with my 13 year old daughter and husband, who will be working 4 days in Paris, so it will only be me and my daughter. Do you have recommendations for restaurants for kids (my daughter doesnt like fancy food)? Is Uber safe? Any other tips would be great
Hi Stacey, thanks for tuning in ;-) I guess in any French brasserie or restaurant, they serve food that kids like, if yours like something like steak or chicken and fries for instance! If they like American diners and burgers, I would recommend "Breakfast in America" : breakfast-in-america.com/?lang=en which looks like a little American diner, as for burgers there is the "Paris New York Burger" : www.pny-hamburgers.fr/locations-2/ and the Big Fernand : bigfernand.com/adresses/#france&paris These are for the best gourmet burgers in Paris. Every ingredient tailored to perfection, home made, etc... But if you just want to grab a quick average burger, there are also many Mac Donald's around and a European burger fast food franchise, "Quick". And yes, Uber is safe to use in Paris! You can also use the app "Chauffeur Privé" as well.
