I’ absolutely love my Velar . I’ve enjoyed 12,000 Miles so far and I’m excited to get into it each and every time but I must admit that the turn signal noise is just too loud. Also yessss please give us apple car play !!! Otherwise honestly the most amazing car I’ve ever owned ! Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences!
Robert Smith this made me feel better. I had completely settled into purchasing my velar in less than 2 weeks and became discouraged as I read horrible review after horrible review. Do you still love yours? Is it still reliable?
It's unforgivable that a premium brand doesn't provide rapid electronics in their cars, especially when that is the only way to modify settings. Anything that distracts the driver is a major fail. RR is not the only one.
5 things I hate about Range Rover Velar... 1. I can't afford one. 2. I don't have one. 3. Not sure I will ever be able to afford one. 4. I'm out of reasons to hate it. 5. All of the reasons above.
Just put the phone in the cubbyhole with the usb. There is zero reason you need to see your phone when you are driving. As for the update just say you have a fault... dealers in the UK are really bad if they are charging you for this update. Was done for free in Canada, they just told me to complain I had a fault and boom 3 hours later it was updated.
Ramage7070 I bought one a few months ago and came with apple car play as I demanded it. I have zero issues with my car. Never have to look at the phone if you have acp
turn signal is loud but then again i've been knwon to drive extended distances with mine on so i actually like being able to hear it that's just me tho
Has anyone had issues with their 2018 or 2019 velar ? I am tying to decide if I should buy a used 2018 but most of the reviews for this model in the U.S.A have horrible comments about the reliability of the car, that range from air suspension to infotainment screen flickering or just blacked out ?
Just got rid of my Velar that had endless issues -- software was a nightmare. Both screens would go black and default to heat (I live in Southern California), had to have 3 updates. Door Pillar on drivers side was misaligned, caused it to sound like the window was cracked open. Water pump went at 4k Miles, Fuel pump went at 9k and left me stranded on the highway. Door seals had to be replaced. Pano Sunroof rattled, specifically the sun shade. Was in the shop 10+ times in the 17 months I owned it. Ended up swapping it and going back to Mercedes. And that turn signal sound is bizarre -- thought the exact same thing. Super odd considering I had loaners nonstop and no other LR product had such noisy signals.
So you went to an even worse reliable brand. You sir are an idiot. You bought a lemon. That’s what we call them in America. Thousands of us don’t or won’t have your same issues. This happens especially with the year you bought. Mercedes are complete trash and I would say it to any owners face along with Tesla. You look young and probably dot have much experience with vehicles and that’s ok. You will learn like we all did as we grew up.
@@CB-ux5xc look at you, coming in hot after this was posted nearly 2 years ago. Thanks for speaking of me looking young, at 39, I’ll take that as a compliment. You sound like a Land Rover fanboy that got his feelings hurt, and that’s ok. We can all admire their beauty and realize they’re not the most reliable vehicles. When you’re able to purchase a Range Rover, please come back with an ownership review. Until then, you sir.. are an idiot.
I have not had any problems w my infotainment system and have had mine for almost a year I bought mine brand spanking new and it is parked in my A/C garage
The only issue iv had 2 times since feb 2020 and for only a short time frame is that the infotainment system n ac wpuldnt come on. Cut car off.. waited 15 minutes and it came back on.
to update the system, change dealer or send them a recommended letter saying that in case of any technical fault of the car they would be responsible as they did not update to the latest version :-)
dude that is minor. i got the gun metal and all you got to do is upgrade!! this is a beast in off roading.. you need to post 5 things which are good and on beast mode!! got the 2020 navigation.. for your USB.. just put it inside your slot and there you go..go to Hot wheels and modify your car where you can get a wireless charging
MY 2021 Velar has a serious problem with the back-up lighting - you can't see anything because the lighting is terrible - is the brightness adjustable? It is stupid that I even need to worry about this....
@@TrendingReviews When I put the car in reverse to backup AT NIGHT there is virtually no visibility - so either bad design, bad operator or maybe a light is not working… new car…
Find a velar that was totaled and buy the info with apple car play etc if its not damaged and instal ... I'm glad my velar has apple car play and I use one of the cup holders to plug in a cell holder you can get it with long or short neck ... I like my R Dynamic P380 byron blue black top velar, And would love to move up to the sport .. 5 thing wrong ...
T he Apple car play software is available to update certain models, yours should be available, either go to another dealer, or complain the system is slow or radio channels keep dropping and tuning to another channel at random intervals.
You have the base model and the oldest Velar. In America we are taught to always buy a car in its second or third year of production. The first year versions are always the worst with glitches and problems. I have none of the issues you have but I also have a new HSE Dynamic.
you're truly a twat - the reliability of this car rates a 29/30 being the WORST of luxury models. I understand you're proud of your new Velar you likely just purchased, but coming for everyone in the comments who has issues when you're probably on your first day of ownership is comical.
Car with this price still gives driver nightmare. I love RangeRover, but I bought Lexus instead to save myself some headaches though I don't like Lexus.
@@TrendingReviews It is indeed. In my case, I hate visible cables so I found an extension to hide it under the dash and travel a long way to the usb port located exactly where your's inside the armrest. (have an Audi A6) but at least it's a clean setup.
Princival as a owner as well I want to let you know that the software update is not available at anytime. It’s kinda like with your cellphone. You have to wait for them to send you a update ie ios 13 , 13.1 etc
FYI - I got the software updated through Land Rover themselves now, and have the option for Remote "Over-The-Air" updates I can do myself now. Still a slow running software though.
Terrible quality car with many customers affected for TATA RANGE ROVER! Six times in the car workshop in a year and a half. THey are the last car company in the reliability rankings
