Nearly every Rover I've ever towed had been nickel and diming it's owner for as long as they'd had it. Quality control at Rover is crap but people who own them love them. Rover and Jaguar are two of the best things that ever happened for tow truck owner's and auto repair shops. #DougDeMuro I'd love it if you would start adding a "Reliability and long term dependability" Doug Score ;)

I absolutely love my Velar. And the trunk lowering button saved me so many times especially when I was moving. If you can afford it I would definitely do it.

Wow...the amount of stuff that can break/fail in this car is mad. Making everything touch screen is stupid in my opinion because you need to be looking at the screen to operate it unlike regular switches and knobs that you can feel. Touch screens are the same as using a smartphone while driving - distracting and dangerous. What if you just came in from the rain, hands wet, would the touch screen work? With woolen gloves? Its a 'cool' car that will definitely become a rage among the device crazy youth but ultimately its British engineered - heavy, unreliable and very expensive.

The perfect SUV look. Such a brilliant design. Somehow they managed to make a car look sporty, yet refined. So many car manufactures make sporty cars but fails on making them refined. This excels in both. Shame it's a lease and dump mobile though and I hate how all the buttons are put in the infotainment system and there aren't that many buttons. The cooled and heated seat function, it's cool, but unless it was shown to you trying to figure out how to turn on your seats would be really annoying. It's not intuitive enough where a person can get in and within seconds find out how to turn on their heaters and coolers.

I like the Velar as a car; looks very nice. BUT the freezing problem shows exactly the problem that we will face in the next coming years daily. These things are computers. and they freeze. It happens with our laptops and phones, why should it not happen on the car. Sucks that such important features such as climate control are only configurable via a touchscreen. I would not care if it is navigation, music and other entertainment stuff. but the AC? just imagine it's a cold day, you are getting inside your car with heated seats and all the climate control features in the world; and then you have to freeze for a time because the coperating system crashed ;)
