I've been inconsistent for a bit but thats because I've been preparing the SUMMER RU-vid MARATHON for you guys💛 I can't believe there's 40,000 people in our strong family. Grand parents are always the best ..my grandmaa thought me how to farm and love the village live ..coming from the city .. she had pass on ..but l truly miss her ..l share tears when l think of such a loving warm grandmaa ..l had 💗🌷😘

I’m Jamaican married to a Nigerian. In Jamaica, our version of Jollof is called seasoned rice. In other parts of the Caribbean it’s called “pillao”, or cook up rice. But yep, it’s in the islands.

I'm pretty sure some Nigerians cook jollof exactly the way you cooked yours, I think jollof is more of a household thing than a country thing. I can cook mine in probably 4 different ways or more depending on time. In my house, under normal circumstances, I cook my rice with the fried spiced tomato stew stuff and with home-made meat (chicken, meat, any meat) stock as well. I just realized that, difference in our jollofs is not actually as deep as the internet has made it 😂😂

I'm just now finding your channel but I am quite mixed as well and I'm so happy to be able to find someone who is similarly mixed like I am! I am a mix of Ghanaian & Nigerian, I'm not Japanese but Vietnamese, and also British. I unfortunately though have never met my African side and have just missed out on so much culture, so its nice to see someone who is mixed and is involved & immersed in both their cultures. I wish my curls were as pretty as yours, you're so beautiful!
