My dad lived to be 102. Seven months after his 100th birthday he took a phone call from a salesman selling life insurance over the phone. Once the salesman started into his pitch my dad interrupted him and told the man that he had just turned one hundred and a half. The flabbergasted salesman exclaimed, "you mean you are a hundred and fifty years old???" They both had a good laugh about it and though he knew he couldn't sell a hundred year old man a life insurance policy they had a pleasant chat for about a half hour. True story.
That actually sounds pretty good. Usually, I only hear about salespeople being annoying so it's good to hear you can actually have good experiences with them.
I am also that kind of person . 😂 . I talk with these old people sometimes for half an hour for no reason 😂. It's really good .Also working in a call center
@@karma1507 I used to be a salesman and I can attest that most people didn't like to hear what I had to say and I certainly pissed a few people off but some of the purest, most enjoyable conversations I've ever had were with a complete stranger over the phone. At least until my manager told me to stop fucking around haha. Shh, I'm just "building rapport"
My grandma was 98. Its absolutely incredible to realise how the world has changed in their lifes. NO-ONE will ever have that big of a change ever (i think). From horse-and-wagon to the computerages, absolutely mindblowing. Two world wars in between and adapting everey day. Now there's a strong generation for ya. Respect!
2124: "Yes, I remember horses. They were part of what we used to call 'organic life'. We were 'organic life', too, and we were part of something called an 'ecosystem' that was largely made up of organic molecules in a layer surrounding a ball-shaped lump of rock we called 'Earth'. Obviously that's all gone now; you young quantum subsystems don't know how lucky you are being constructed after the Great Upload and not having to witness... the incident."
RIP brother…you seemed like a very cool dude and may you be enjoying life on the other side. Blessings to your family as well. My grandma just turned 98 last week and is going strong
So glad this man made it to 101 - rare indeed. At that age, it must feel like living multiple lives. RIP James Dominic Nesci: 6 children, 36 grandkids and 24 great grandkids.
600th like - so when i go back to this video and check that i liked a unfunny comment, this reply will remind me that it was the 600th so i had to like it.
For those wondering, the old man's name is James Dominic Nesci, who passed away on September 20, 2020 at age 101. Despite how old he was, he still had a great personality and a heart of a child. May he Rest In Peace.
@@bzxy--0 I don't think it is really sad. What i mean is: He had a long Life. I mean 101 Year's old. That's amazing. He must take good care of himself and must have a good Lift to get that old.
He’s impressively sharp. My grandma made it to 98 but she didn’t really know what was happening the last three years. She was a doctor in public health which I think is pretty cool for a lady born in 1909
I'm so glad this vid came up in my feed again. I remember seeing this probably when it was first uploaded. I know this lovely man is making people laugh in heaven. God bless him.
I'm having two 6's birthday this new year. Will stop working .....don't know when, like my dad at 82, maybe 90? I LOVE what I do. I avoid all contacts with my peers, becuse it's like walking in a hospital discussion group, HOW many pills do you take? Absolutelu NONE and goodbye. Walk fast, talk young, play music. Eat healthy, have 10lbs less than 45 years ago and on the beach I can pass for a little over 50, no big muscles, just toned body. Working on my head as well, smiling most of the time at everything. Getting old sane and healthy takes work, but it's worth it. Life at 66 is GREAT. 100,, see you in 34 years.
@@panan7777 That's the spirit! I am closing in on 60. Very healthy and toned. Never married. Always happy. Don't have a care in the world. My target is 80. No more.
Yeah , I am 24 and I kinda never thought about being reaching 30 When I was 18 I hear someone being 25+ and thought “what a fucking old people” but now I am turning into it and my soul stills the same
Because we fear we will die and feel like we didn’t do shit with our lives and we never got to do all we wanted to. And in this age we waste so much time on social media but at the end of the day thats not something we will remember .
Ah bless your heart. You’re not an old man, you’re a cool dude. I very much hope you are still with us. What a character. Brilliant. Best regards to you from the Giant’s Causeway coast of Northern Ireland. 😄👍☘️
honestly, i cannot even tell where the past 20 years of my life went. and all the days i used to go to school and talk to friends, and wish i was grown up to be free. man oh man if only i knew age wasnt the only thing holding me back from being happy.
I Met Mrs Cathie Wood last year for the first time at a church program, where she greeted a friend of mine also a church member, and fortunately for me, we exchanged contact and got along. What God cannot do, doesn't exist" I truly believe this word 100 percent❤❤❤
this got recommended to me for some reason, i love his great personality, i just love how he does not care about his language, what an absolute legend of a dad
Well sir , you sure seem switched on and fully engaged !! Looks like you are good fun to be around too. That's amazing. You have got one over almost all of us , you are going strong at 98 (we won't be).
@@masturluck You’re dumb af it’s your. If you’re going to correct someone at least use some form of search engine to make sure you’re actually right, because you most definitely need it.
God bless him. For those of us who aren't 'kids' anymore, it is hard seeing these guys leave the world. It's like all the adults have gotten up and gone...and now we need to fill their shoes. Many good vibes to this guy and his family. I'm sorry he is gone but sounds like he was a sharp cookie with a long life.
i feel old now at 56,lol, this guy is one of the very few lucky one,s, when you look around the cemetrys near me, most people are not making retirement age, going in their 60s, then the gov says we are all living longer, just because a few reach their late 90s,what a load of bullshit
@@cMind607 yeah, it same in the uk, but back in the 1980s, most people lived to nearly 80'years old, prob cos them people born around 1900 had better food, everything they ate was homemade, & they had less stress, & were more chilled out & relaxed & happyer than people today, & they had nothing,
RIP James Dominic Nesci! I heard the sound in the background and that was actually the same sound as my grandma's doorbell.. felt a surge of emotion.. lol
Beautiful. My Nana died at 103. Her short term memory was shot, but I will forever be greatful she never forgot any of us. That would have been unbelievably painful. Miss her so much. My partner in crime. Love you Nana x
i think thats the way of life - dont stress maybe this man turn all the bad days to fun jokes and thats all 😂 laugh and good mood maybe can resolve many sick problems or diseases.
