for the scoffers, three of my 4 grand parents lived over 100... 105, 102, 100, all going strong, no health issues, minds fully functioning. other grandfather died in a storm at sea in 1952. i'm 61 and somedays i feel better than ever, told my wife the other day "i think my youth may be starting to slip away", how silly to even ponder the thought, i'm still a kid. but now i know what they mean when i hear " the golden years" life! how great it is, unfortunately most of the worlds population suffers needlessly. i hope the younger generation can bring about changes for the benefit of all humanity. be of good cheer and overcome evil, and long may you live. blessing to the human family.
@@1966MrAlex of course not, a balanced diet and good attitude is usually the reason for long life. Quite often there is no reason except pure luck. Handling stress well and having good relationships is paramount.
He lived through the most interesting times in human history. From not having electricity, through WW1, WW2, Technology boom, Computers ...... Never again in human history, there will be someone to have lived through such times, even if the next elder is to be 200 years old ....
just think about it, like wow. I wish I could have sat down with him and just listened to him tell stories about his life, ask questions. like you said, he lived in a time with no electricity and oe of the two biggest wars in history, etc. Amazing.
@@emilyb8291 I wish could do that too. History is fascinating, learning in school and doing research. But there's so much to learn from people of older generations who grew up through those times. It's nuts but as you said, amazing
86 yrs old. So many choices and changes. People nowadays are so ungrateful for their everyday luxuries. I'm in perfect health and sharp wits... Grateful to God, every minute. ♥️♥️
Skarsburning although that’s true and I might sound like a millennial from a stereotypical standpoint, you never know what the future holds, we could discover a new form of science or technology could improve 500% in the next 10 years, so that would be an amazing time to live through lol.
Me born in 1996 ( exactly 100 years after Walter) : Hold my beer, cuz I'll live to 2111 and some idiot will say the exact same thing about me living through the most interesting times in human history
Sounds like my grandma who made it to about 94 yrs old but unfortunately died last memorial day. I always thought she would live as long as Mr Bruening.
What a blessing to have a family member live to be over a hundred what a blessing 110 and still walking and dressing himself what a blessing and remembering what a blessing
Wow, I can see why he is easily still alive because even though he is really old, he isn't frail or weak. I'm surprised how strong his voice and body still are!
lol "I remember too damn much!" He's seen a lot of change-- he's seen the telegraph evolve into an iPhone, and he's lived through the eras of WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and Iraq!
He oversaw America’s involvement in 9 wars; he would’ve been 8 years old when the Spanish American War commenced. He also lived through 21 presidents: Benjamin Harrison to Barack Obama.
You Are A Blessing. You Give Hope. God Is Good To You. Mr. Walter ; To Hear You Say You Are A Christian And God's Gift To Be 115 Years Old. God Let The World See What He Could Give. What A Blessing. I Wish You Could Have Shared More Of Life. With Us. May God Continue To Bless And Keep You. His Name isJesus. Trust Him. Read : Psalm 80. I'll Keep Praying.
I think I'll send him a birthday card for his 114 birthday. Thats really amazing and I wish this was the average life span for everyone. Then people would not have to lose their older relatives and be sad.
most people from his generation were great to listen to, but not only that, most them would,ve done anything to help anyone, all my family member,s from his generation that are now gone, i miss them every single day,
He's coherent too, he'll be around for a few more years for sure! Assuming he's still this active now, I know this video is a couple years old already.
He'll probably live to be at least 125 years old. He is still very strong and doesn't look frail. This is something that mankind has always dreamed about (immortality).
1912 Titanic sink/1914 begining of ww1/ He Lived at the time where John dillinger and bonny & Clyde died/1939 ww2 He was 40 when it was started/50s Best time ever 70s 80s 90s earlier 2000s
He's like one of the few people born before the 1900's. see he just died last month. He actully had a facebook. Sent him a message once. I'm like hey never met anybody born in the 1800's now probably my only chance. Not sure if he ever got my message or if that was even him.
When I watch a movie like The Time Machine I think of him. Basically the time period at the beginning of the movie, the late 1890's was when he was born. I find that quite funny.
Well from my experience, after 90, a human body and mind denigrates exponentially fast. I have one grandad of 92 years, who I went to a roller coaster some 7 years ago and nlw he barely walks and need nursing. Another grandad is 88, four years ago he taught me how to remodel an apartment and niw he can barely lift any equipment. Thus for a guy who you see in the video, I would guess an absolute maximum of 100 years. Cognitive and motor skills too well preseved to be any older in my view.
People age different. When my granddad was in his early 70s he could barely walk or walk upstairs and than he died with 74, so he obviously aged worse than your grandfather and Mr Breuning (whose record is verified) aged better than your granddad.
1:32 He quit smoking & BURNing them cigars🚭 since the legendary George BURNs. He lived b4 your grandparents long time ago stories. 😄 Everything has a connection I guess! 💯 It'd be interesting how society could/would approach longevity 80 - 100+ years later. Ofc, I'll be long gone to ever see it. Or will I?
My purpose in buying lottery tickets is to split any major jackpot equally among myself,, my son, my three grandchildren, and my sister. That is the only incentive for the purchase in the first place. This is meant to be the only part of the family so named in the participation, and so informed.
Yes! I also noticed how strong his voice is for a man 110years old and also the strong and very clear articulation, more clear and more strong than some folks in their late 70s. Thus, I hoped that the video would present documentation of his age because he strikes me more as a man between age 88 and 93. And I don't speak to denigrate but there are videos of supposedly very old persons that are false. Also, his skin especially for s White man, and a very fair skin White, lacked the aging.
He should have fought in WWI and rode on the Titanic but survived both events. It would be really cool to have someone who could have witnessed both historical events.
@mugecelik71 he will reach more than that because he is a in a great shape. their is alot of people who are in their 80s who actually look older and move much slower than him. i give him 5 to 10 more years maybe more
