One thing I've noticed about female priests (yes, I'm still Episcopalian) is that they are very, very chummy. They treat every sermon like a dinner party. There is no moral authority; just lovey-dovey camaraderie.
I'm agnostic myself, and have been for decades, but the very idea of a _minister_ in a _Christian_ church who should somehow resent opening a service with the mention of the Christian God just takes my breath away. What does she think the point of a _church_ is? It just goes to show that these congregations have become mere left/liberal social clubs. If they had any honesty they'd take the crosses off their buildings and stop pretending to be something they stopped really being a long, long time ago.
This is totally true. I’m a pastor and we have seen a huge wave of people in our church. This has been a direct result of our “doubling down” on traditional Christian worldview. The sheep are starving.
The people are starving so they dont see how you deceive them with flawed Logic. The more they are born into a Religion, they less they think about this. Thats why channel like 'Genetically Modified Sceptic' are important. They COVER and REALLY COVER Religion. Unlike you.

I think you may appreciate what is found in "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". a good sermon from our last General Conference is called "Defending our Divinely Inspired Constitution". Another great talk is "Hearts Knit Together". We have a volunteer clergy, they don't see attendance as their daily bread, they see attendance as solace to those who come to church. We do have tithing, but it is collected privately, and is fixed at ten percent of all our increase. That tithing goes to great causes, like Welfare Square, but also to things like building Temples. You may have seen some of our Temples. You have probably heard of us before, people insist on calling us Mormon. But you have almost certainly heard at least one thing that is false. We worship Jesus Christ as our lord and savior, not Joseph Smith, not Mormon, and not Russel M. Nelson. We look forward to and prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Being a Roman Catholic, I can attest to the ONE time I attended a Church that was "liberal". I was attending college, and the college Catholic Church had an older priest who was just winding down in his years. Nothing against old people, but he was kind of like Biden, willing to let other people run the show while he did the bare minimum. What that resulted in was a lady basically ran Mass. SHE would give the homily after the Gospel was read by the priest, and woo boy was it liberal. Women's rights this, republicans bad that, abortions being a choice, it was bad. Like, I'd go there, and then tune her out. Well, as is the practice of the Diocese of Saginaw(not sure if it's universal in the Church), priests rotate after 4-9 years, and a new, young, fresh out of ordination priest took over, and he was very conservative/traditional. It was night and day different. Got rid of the soft rock band that played songs, brought back the organ. There was Latin in the Mass again. The woman who ran the show tried to lobby her political power, remained for a short while, and then I never saw her at Mass again. It was BEAUTIFUL! It was a Catholic Mass again!!! Structure, order, everything was returned. And that's not to say that they new young priest was a stuffy prude, I remember one Mass where the Gospel was about marriage, and when the priest went to give his homily, he PERFECTLY impersonated the priest from "The Princess Bride", MAWWWAGE, MAWWAGE IS THE BOND....", we were ROLLING in laughter.
I started going to my local Roman Catholic Church for the first time in years but within a few weeks they had a guest speaker come on in mid-mass to talk about “diversity”. I stopped going soon afterwards. 🤷🏻♂️
@@elasticabanda6473not always easy to find. The only church I know of that celebrated the TLM was within reach stopped celebrating it after Francis' crackdown on the TLM. In Pope Francis' Catholic Church it feels like everyone is welcome except Catholics.
I would be VERY surprised if they had a speaker come in mid-mass to do anything that was not related to the mass. These things are structured. This type of thing just isnt done. The ONLY part of the whole Mass that allows for someone to speak off the cuff is the Homily. And the Priest gives those. Not a guest speaker. So this is either vastly exaggerated, an outright lie, or you need to go to your Bishop immediately and report this. And its not because of what was being talked about. The content doesnt matter. Its not appropriate to do so in the Mass regardless of what the topic is.

I read an article once about how the dichotomy of the sexes reflects the nature of God. "He made him in His own likeness. Male and female He created them, and He blessed them." Those two concepts don't come one after the other by accident.
My family used to be a part of the Episcopal church and left in the early 2000s after they went even more off the rails. I'm currently attending a very traditional LCMS church and I've never been happier.
As an ex LCMS ‘professional church worker’, I can say the LCMS does have potential for those seeking a traditional biblically-based theological home. The weakness I found was that the LCMS, like most Lutheran churches, tends to believe that if you’re baptized we are saved. We have a process called “confirmation“ usually beginning in the seventh grade and ending up in the eighth grade, where children are taught the basics of the Lutheran understanding of the Scriptures. What I discovered was that less than 50% of those who have been baptized 12 years earlier were in our confirmation classes; and after finishing confirmation another 2/3 left, never to return. An LCMS congregation is probably NOT the place to be if you want to have your faith challenged and grow in your Christian life.
I'm drawn to confessional Lutheran churches myself. They have all the things I like about Catholicism (liturgical service, a deep respect for holy communion, etc) and none of the things about Catholicism that don't quite sit right with me. I'm partial to LCMS churches, having been confirmed in one, but really any Lutheran church that isn't part of the ELCA is likely good. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America no longer hold to the confessions of the Lutheran church (or the direct scriptures for that matter) and it definitely shows. Woke language, women and trans ministers, etc.
I grew up in the ELCA and left immediately after I was confirmed because of the shameless woke campaigning. Now I'm a member of the Church of the Lutheran Confession. Very traditional and focused on the Scripture
I've only once met a female 'clergywoman'. I was working in Glasgow and looking for somewhere to have lunch, and I saw that there was a café in a nearby church. I went in, ordered my food and sat reading my Bible. The lady came in (she was the 'minister' of a nearby Unitarian Church) and spotted me, and made a beeline for me. We had a brief and instructive chat. What I took away from it were the waves of condescension that she emitted - I didn't express my disapproval, and, as is my policy with everyone whatever their beliefs, I was open, friendly and polite. She noticed I was reading a Darby Bible and immediately knew what I would think of her profession. Then, I feel, she was on the defensive and wanted to 'put me in my place' for the views I hadn't expressed, but which she knew I held. I leave such people to the Lord, to distinguish the tares from the wheat.

Hey Andrew, That is awesome that you found a Church that you love. I was wondering if you ever checked out the Traditional Latin Mass in the Roman Catholic Church?
When the Catholic church claims to be the one true church bc it originated with Peter... We all began in the same place. The Catholic church has evolved and changed over the years just as those that branched off. It is light-years away from what it looked like in the early church.

For 1500 years there was Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy (in my opinion, they split for political reasons) why follow a denomination that was started 500 years ago??
I was atheist my adult life having been raised protestant. When I decided to give religion another look, Only the traditional would suit. That left Roman Catholicism or eastern orthodox.
I found the same, having been raised as. Jehovah’s Witness. I knew nothing of real Christianity. I’ve decided to become a Catholic after careful consideration, and prayer.I’m starting RCIA and hoping to be baptized as soon as I can. I wish you all the best too, my future brother.

Looks like you found a good church Mr. Klavan. But if that changes, please consider the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Conservative, historic liturgy, Belief in the Real Presence in the Lord’s Supper, and keeps politics out of the pulpit.
It"s the easiest!!!! Look for Christ!!! He is locked waiting to see you at the Sanctuary, alive in the shape if bread so you we can see Him . Look for the apostolic succession, the one Jesus built with Peter as the foundation stone Mt 16,18. God bless you!!!
Peter is the Rock. That’s the thing I struggled to see until I sucked up my pride and prayed deeply about, while doing further research about the early Church. It was a perspectival flip. Our Lord promised he would build his Church and would be with us until the end of the Age. I am a sinful man yet to be baptized, but I am starting RCIA. I wish you well.

Sounded like he was describing my Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod when he was descibing his ideal church. Liturgical setting with a beautiful weekly dose of both Law (conviction) and Gospel (salvation).
Expository preaching will keep garbage out. Regardless of the type of church, preaching focused on exposing the meaning of the given biblical passage will keep folks on track.
Congratulations, Andrew for finding a Biblical church. I was born and raised in the Episcopal church. I left 9 years ago, at age 53. Best decision I ever made.
I sent both my son (26) and daughter (12) to an Episcopal preschool. In those 13 years, I could see the difference. My 26 year old was baptized as a young teenager into the Baptist church & so we all joined this church. I do love it but somewhere in his early college life, he got a bad taste about the Baptists. He was falling away from religion altogether. My heart was breaking & then after a year or two of my tears & prayer he started searching again. One of the first churches he decided to revisit was the Episcopal church. He went one or two times. He studied & searched & found his perfect church. He coverted to Orthodoxy last summer ❤
I have found the Orthodox churches to have changed the least in the past 2000 years and are the closest to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the church Jesus founded. Just visit one and you will see this to be true.
That is why I love my church so much. My pastor loves people, and welcomes anyone, but he doesn't compromise on the Bible, and he's not afraid to preach it, even if the world stands against him.
For Catholics, the first place to look is the Traditional Latin Mass. My priest has great homilies, and the liturgy is very reverent and the choir sings Gregorian chant. It's wonderful.
He really nailed it. Preaching the Gospel should be easy. Like he said, it's written down. All you have to do is read what it says and talk about it. And, he's so precise in his thinking. It would be cool to have Klavan on my channel to talk about communication skills because he's excellent.
I understand that this quote is meant to stress the importance of living out the Good News by our action, but we NEED WORDS to communicate the Gospel. Jesus PREACHED as He healed.
@@ClaritySinger All too often peoples actions don't match their words and their actions are out of fear (wrath of god) rather than faith (love of god), so their words, no matter how exact and often they quote scripture, are empty.
What i wonder is: why is she even a pastor/priest then? it doesn't even sound like she has a good faith in Christ. Furthermore, it is important to note that just because one woman is poorly motivated and poorly focused on the purpose of life and church, does not mean all women are. Nor are all women incapable of being used by God for His purpose. (I.E. book of Joel in the Old Testament.)
Find a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod church that follows the historical liturgy. They still teach the Bible is the word of God and are reverent. Most importantly, they teach that a sinner is justified before God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from his works (Roman's 3 & 4; Augsburg Confession IV).
There's a difference between the liturgy of the word and the liturgy of the eucharist. You can have a poor homilist and still engage in the sacrament. Increasingly I find that's the case, one catholic's perspective.
@@StrategicWealthLLC no worries, long story short in Catholic theology the bread and wine becomes the body and blood of christ. First half of mass is listening to scripture and the priests words on the scripture. The second is the ritual that changes the bread and wine and then the people receiving it. Totally short overview, but that's the basic concept.
Andrew Klavan really needs to check out a Traditional Latin Mass or an Eastern rite church. Or the Ordinariate. Looks kinda Anglican but is truly Catholic.
He definitely should. I know others will get angry at this, even though that's not my intention, but Catholicism is the full truth of Jesus Christ and his Gospel.
I'm glad to hear that you found a church that makes Christ Jesus it's center. That is key. I would say though, that application of the gospel to everyday life is extremely important, always relating back to scripture.
Congratulations! I feel your pain. Try living in D.C, brother. We left the Episcopal church. Found: one non-woke bible church (via Texas) here, one good Anglican church, and most of the Catholic churches are not flying the freak flag. Otherwise, ya gotta go to Virginia...
This is very hard to say since I really like you, Mr. Klavan, but my church actually does teach only the Bible, but you wouldn’t like it there, either. I’ve recently heard you argue with a few clear biblical doctrines simply because you don’t like them. Sin is sin across the board, not just the ones we choose to agree are bad. This, again, makes me so sad, since you used to be my favorite Daily Wire host (I still really like you and pray for you and your family 😊), however it has grieved me of late to hear your viewpoints on matters such as these. This may have come off as critical, but it wasn’t meant to be. I wouldn’t have ever said anything until being prompted by the subject of this video. God bless you and yours.
I just heard about Andrew Klavan today. Your quote is below. Do you have any video titles that describe what you mean below? 'I’ve recently heard you argue with a few clear biblical doctrines simply because you don’t like them.'
We never completely agree with everyone. I disagree with Andrew probably on the same things you do, but I still find him to be engaging and focused on the heart of issues, seeing the transcendent above the politics.
I would love the hear Klavan’s take on the Messianic congregations? It brings back our Hebrew roots but acknowledge Yeshua. If you read this, I’ll listen for a response.
Tish Harris Warren, the woman he maligned in the video is ACNA. She's no leftist either (not that I'm in favor of women's ordination, but do your homework dude).
Come on Klavan. You should know by now that the Catholic Church is post-messianic Temple Judaism and Judaism is pre-messianic Catholicism. Only in the Catholic Church will you find the Temple Sacrifice as it was before Christ, the Lamb of God. Will you partake in the Passover feast?
I live in the SF bay area. Its hopeless to find a not woke church here. I went to one on Easter that someone promised me wasn't woke but sure enough, they talked about equity.
I hear you. Same for me. Over 20+ years we find a good church and about 5-7 years in the pastor drifts away from the Gospel and into the worldly trend of the day. I see a lack of preaching the word, a tendency to find scripture to bolster a worldy philosophy instead of letting scripture challenge and convict, no enthusiasm for evangelism or missions, more specialized programs, small groups that are just social meetings, no emphasis on equipping disciples. Almost an embarrassment to be a Christian in the Bay Area. It's heartbreaking. The only denomination I see holding fast is Calvary Chapel and some independent churches. But they are few and far between. That said, we need to pray fervently for revival and not give in to despair. Keep running the race with perseverance, keeping our focus on Christ.
I don’t know where you live and I know you’re a Protestant, but you might consider trying an Orthodox (Eastern, Greek, etc) Church. They aren’t woke. At all.
Hi Andrew! YHWH Bless you! We don’t go to any churches. We try to be Faithful from home. We try follow people (Theologians/ Pastors) on YT, but they are becoming less and less ... Stephen Pigeon is a good one to follow! Xx
I'm glad you found a church that you enjoy, particularly one that focuses on liturgy. I'd urge you to look for an Anglican Use parish (one that belongs to the Personal Ordinariate which is in communion with Rome) so you get Anglican liturgy, the preaching of the Gospel, and valid sacraments (especially the Eucharist). Since Anglicans changed the sacramental formulas they used after breaking with Rome back in the day they no longer have apostolic succession, which means their priests lack the sacramental power to confect the Eucharist. The Anglicans who have recently come back into communion with Rome, however, have all been validly (re-)ordained. It would probably be a great fit for you and would have the added benefit of sacramental graces in the Eucharist, Confession, etc. God Bless.
I was coming to the comments to say the same thing ❤ I am not converted but I think I would love to one day?! It is a beautiful & welcoming religion...but I am not sure I could ever fast enough! 😅 My 26 year old son was baptized last summer in the Orthodox church & I've never known a happier, more whole person! He lives in Shreveport & I will have a grandchild in the next week & look forward to attending church with him & his family as often as I can possibly get down there ❤❤❤
Agreed, I thought the same thing, as someone who left the Episcopal for the Catholic Church at age 26, and finally came home to the Orthodox Church at age 55.
I implore Klavan to visit a Greek Orthodox mass one of these days, they are usually half in Greek and half in English, but it really is a beautiful thing (and the bread is leavened bread for theological reasons you can look up, so it actually tastes good!). Also at my church, each person goes up and actually has a spoonful of wine and bread out of a chalice given by the Priest (probably not the most sanitized thing, but it is far more meaningful). I've never been to an non-Greek Orthodox "Orthodox" Church, but I am sure they have beautiful masses as well.
To add on if he wants an all English liturgy and if one is nearby there is The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. I know it's a mouthful but it's completely in English.
@@MilkyKilky Yes this too, there are probably plenty of Orthodox churches that are in full communion with other Orthodox churches that do English only masses. I haven't done much research on it but I am sure there is plenty. Great point.
