Ugh, I'm still in a boot with wedges, non weight bearing at 6 weeks. This feels like such a setback for me mentally.

Everyone heals differently and no two timelines are the same! Keep your head up and take it day by day or minute by minute! You got this!

It sounds like one of the keys to a great recovery has been your frequent physical therapy sessions. You mentioned doing it three times a week. Would more be beneficial, or less cause longer timeline for recovery? I'm starting to schedule all mine today.

Having a great team of Physical Therapist was definitely one of the keys to my success! 3 times a week was perfect for me however, it depends on what works best for you and your schedule. The Achilles recovery is a long one but having a knowledgeable team working with you helps in ALL of the ways. I would say 3 is a great place to start and then go with how you are feeling. If you ever want to schedule a video appointment with my team and I we are always here for you and rooting you on!

Also, in weeks 6 you mentioned not buying the AchilloTrain, but then have complaints about wearing shoes with discomfort this week. Do you regret not getting the product to help with that?

No I do not regret not purchasing the AchilloTrain since I purchased something similar. I still had discomfort due to my anchors and had that until about 9 months post op. I am good to go now though!
