Nobody is perfect, except that, ironically, these characters are perfectly written. They have flaws, they make mistakes, they learn from them, they grow, and their bond gets stronger. 😉
Clark and Lois's relationship may have started off a little bit Rocky 😮 and awkward at times😂 but it ended up blossoming into a wholesome relationship 🥰 and let's be honest our boy Jimmy definitely played The Gardener in helping it happen dude definitely deserves the best bro of the Year award.☺️👍
The way the more classic (Christopher Reeve and TAS) Superman got that to make sense was for Clark to straight up tell Lois, who naturally assumes Superman would never reveal his alter ego and replies, _"Good_ one, Smallville." I like how they subverted expectations here, using the reveal to pull out the inevitable conflict and ultimately bring them closer together.
Constant question how do people not recognize him? Someone tell Batman you don't need a whole dark mask & cover your whole face to keep your identity a secret. Gosh it's hard to breathe inside that
His appearance is different enough that at first glance you don’t think they are the same person (sometimes the character is doing completely different body language and has a stutter) and most people don’t assume that a god will have a secret identity, let alone be the dude who is working with them
Honestly, Clark didn’t deserve to be treated like that. Especially by her. He did so much for her sake and prioritized her wellbeing during every crisis, and yet she treated him like trash for not revealing his identity to her after she said she wanted to expose his secrets to the public. I’m glad she started to mature some during the series.
I like this rendition of Lois but SHE STILL comes off as selfish and narcissistic. I have NEVER questioned Clark wanting to KEEP HIS PRIVATE, PERSONAL JOURNEY OF SELF DISCOVERY TO HIMSELF. I suppose Lois was always "honest" about wanting to interview Superman FOR HER OWN PERSONAL GAIN TO EARN PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT BY SCOOPING AND EXPOSING SUPERMAN. But Lois never thinks about HOW SUPERMAN FEELS ABOUT SHARING HIS LIFE or THE CONSEQUENCES OF INFORMING VILLAINS/ENEMIES about a person who has acted ONLY TO PRESERVE & PROTECT LIFE . How many times does Clark have to prove his worth to Lois and earn her trust while the sweet, loving adopted alien guy doesn't ask her for anything except her kindness and respect as a living individual? Sometimes secrets provide boundaries and actually save lives, especially for OUTSIDERS trying to fit in and trying to prevent being abused/discriminated against for being different. NOT EVERYONE CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH. If anything, Lois needed to understand that Clark needed time to TRUST HER enough and to feel safe enough to reveal his 100% Self. His body may be almost indestructible but NOT his heart.
