Take a moment to notice, she didn't actually have to take off her little jacket or keep it off to get the sewing kit. She knew exactly what she was doing to try to attract Clark even further to her
And Clark, I guess, didn't really need to take off his long-sleeved white shirt for the sake of fixing the jacket, but for some reason, he did. Unless, of course, it is somehow embaded in jacket. It's strange if it is, though
"I never played sports", bro has the body of a gladiator and he says he never did sports, thats a terrible way to hide the fact that you are a superhero
@@yanijen9733 It's literally not, and even if it were, how is this "through the perspective of each gender"? 😂 Even Google defines "male gaze" as "the perspective of a notionally typical heterosexual man considered as embodied in the audience or intended audience for films and other visual media, characterized by a tendency to objectify or sexualize women". By that definition, it's questionable (and heatedly debated) whether the female gaze even exists in this society. The male gaze certainly isn't positive or even neutral, and it's a little insane to me that people who would never in a million year considering reading an academic and/or feminist article about it are out here misusing the term.
@@catIingwell that really depends on if you're using the term in a societal sense or in an artistic review sense. Because when it comes to media presentation, you can distinguish something clearly designed with the male gaze in mind/pandered to, or something that's meant to subvert the male gaze. Im not sure I would call it 'the female gaze', as even in your comment it's clear that the 'male gaze' is a reinforcement of patriarchal norms in its use as the 'default' point of view for most media. A subversion of that patriarchal norm doesn't necessarily mean opposite or without that influence. And of course there's the heteronormative aspect of those patriarchal norms. What is the male gaze from a queer perspective. Is a piece of media that clearly views women in a distinctly sapphic perspective, or views men as objects of desire through a gay perspective inherently opposing to the concept? Or reactions to it? Or just part of it. That's the problem with dealing with concepts so ingrained into society
I love that there was absolutely no need to take her own jacket off. She's down just as bad as he is, but unlike the shy farm boy, she's going to flirt the hell out of him.
This honestly explains everything behind Lois' reasons for being frustrated with Clark for lying about being Superman. Doesn't mean she was right, but I understand why she was upset.
Yeah she just wanted to know if it was all an act and if he was actually lying to her or if he actually liked her or not but Clark was always just trying to keep his friends safe because he was worried of what would happen when they found out the truth, but if you ask me this feels like a little Peter Parker secret identity drama but that could just be me but I have got to say they seriously put in their work to make Luz Lane and Clark very hot in every frame you have them in
@@JRA6192 I only said that because that is honestly a very relatable thing with super hero’s these days with dealing with their secret identity and technically I am not wrong, I am not saying that they are copying Spider-Man’s story but it is somewhat relatable to what he went through
Bobby Fischer work out .. so it’s not a stretch.. but hopefully Mr Kent doesn’t go in the direction Mr Fischer in the end of his career/life.. that would be a terrible tragedy indeed…!
It is another nice moment between Lois and Clark, and Clark was so close to revealing his secret, but Lois being frustrated with Superman caused Clark to hold back on telling her the truth.
It’s amazing that some people are hating on Louis after episode five, but this scene in episode four currently explains why she was so quickly mad. Clearly, she does not like people close to her keeping secrets from her. Not saying Clark was in the wrong but sometimes when you think you’re protecting someone you’re unintentionally hurting. People are flawed and they have baggage. Hopefully next episode, they clear things up and don’t drag on it.
I agree but simultaeously its easy to see why clark was so reluctant to admit the truth as well, you want to tell her and suddenly she launches into this rant that makes you think that not only does she hate you and will hate you worse when the truth comes out but that she seems to be saying shell literally ruin your life for a story and put your loved ones in danger when she does,
@@drinolokoy225 I think the big difference between this situation and that is that being a superhero is really new in this universe. You can't exactly fall back on the 'rules of being a superhero' when there aren't any yet.
I know it was several other things, like the torn newspaper article that gave it away to Lois, but I also think it’s the fact Clark is weirdly buff like Superman, despite admitting he didn’t do sports.
Ding ding ding, you got it, in older stories clark intentionally slouched and wore baggy clothes to make himself look shorter and fatter than superman, added with a higher pitch voice when talking and unconfident mannerism, there is little chance you'd assosiate him with the deep voice confident buff dude that just held up a truck over his head. This scene makes it so that old fans can easily accept it that lois to figures it out so early
@@sainttansomeone gets it. My friend's grandma grew up on a farm in the country, only moved to the city when she became a widow. Was still going all day like she was 45 when she was in her 80s. Manual labor keeps you in shape. 😮
Here is a nice fun fact about Superman. His strength comes from the sun absorbing Kryptonian cells, not his muscles. Kryptonians have the same, relative speaking, strength. Kara for example despite being half of Clark's size has similar super strength. Clark's physic comes from well, a balanced diet and workout. Which being the son of a farmer he both had. To quote Kratos "My strength doesn't come from my body, both are honed by discipline."
This scene shows that Lois trusts Clark enough to tell her personal issue with her dad, and Clark was about to tell Lois his secret him being Superman, showing that he trusts Lois also with his secret too If it wasn’t for Clark’s insecurity when Lois was Blaming Superman for dodging her questions, he could’ve told her sooner So it’s not surprising and understanding why Lois was mad at Clark for not telling, like she felt Clark never trusted her to begin with
No its not 🤡🤡🤡 theyve known eachother maybe a month. Jimmy knew supes for years and he didnt tell him. Jimmy repsected his privacy cor years. Lois couldnt do it for a couple weeks.
@Eatshityoutube ok that’s fair. BUT in her defense they grew extremely close and she trusted him enough to be vulnerable with him. The feeling of there being a lack of reciprocation when he didn’t tell her is understandable, despite handling it very poorly. I think she also tried to figure it out because she was scared for him, at least during the later leg of the investigation. She got first hand experience of what he has to face everyday and realized he is literally risking his life by throwing himself in the deep end without knowing whether he can survive it or not. That’s scary for anyone to think about happening to their closest friend, so it’s no wonder she had to be completely sure. That along with the fear that he would be possibly using her for a cover. Her actions were out of line when she forced him to reveal his identity to her like that, she’s mostly to blame for all the relationship problems they are facing. BUT they are both trying to figure it out and heavy miscommunication helped promote the rift they developed between each other in the first place.
I just love how Lois is attracted to CLARK, not Superman. Every other version I've seen, Lois is attracted to Superman and either ignores Clark or sees him as competition or at most a friend. Here, she falls in love with Clark first because of he's kind, shy and handsome without flaunting it. It makes Lois so much more relatable and likable. The writing on this series is first rate.
*First Time Seeing the New Louis Lane:* I love her instantly. I love her personality. I like be her design. I love her hair. Everything. Hope they do more with her.
@@SupesSinsMemoirs If you're curious where I liked her on the spot its the words, "We can fix that. Take it off." "Wait wut?" "The jacket, Bad boy." Lol. That made me grin and laugh
this has to be a great take on supermans life, i mean hes not always the hero we all know and im glad to see this slice of life side to the man of steel, its a different look into his life and i love it!!!
Me during this sequence: "Omg they are the most adorable babies, having a nice personal moment together! The writers nailed their personalities ❤" Also me: *can't stop staring at Clark's boobs*
Fun fact about Superman, he uses a Kryptonian technique of disguise; he is able to alter and flex his skin tissue and muscles, which allows him to look frail and skinny.
I carry a tailoring kit in my backpack to make some basic sewings. Girls always get amazed for that (for some reason many dont how to sew a single button for gods sake, ¿and they have the courage to say they dont need men? ha!).
I love how 90% of the time people see Clark as like this nerdy lil guy But he’s superman, he’s built like a fucking bulldozer, how don’t you notice this 💀
