In this video, I upgrade the firmware on my Monoprice Maker Select Plus. Upgrading to ADVi3++ firmware was a challenge, but worth it so far.

This update provides better access to the MicroSD slot on the side of the LCD. You'll need access to upgrade the firmware. Without the slated LCD modification, the LCD needs to be removed from the printer in order to upgrade the firmware.

The link for the firmware upgrade doesn’t work. Do you have another one? Only one I could find was one that I had to support someone’s patreon to get access

Yes, I think the ADVi3 people have been trying to go more commercial these days. This is a fairly new development. I do not know of any alternative for the Patreon support.

Do you use Cura? and if so what are your common settings for the maker select plus with pla?

Yes, Cura 4.4.1 I print PLA (mostly PLA plus) at 215 on the hot end and 60 on the bed. 0.2mm layer height. My speeds are infill=60, outer wall=30, inner wall=60, travel=80, initial layer=30. I would suggest printing a temperature tower to calibrate your own machine for your favorite PLA though. These seem to always result in good information. Thanks for watching. The link issue is discussed in the comments - the creator of ADVi3+ has moved the software and has also created a better support system for it. If you search for it, you will find it.

If yoiu look on the ADVI3pp-LCD page, it links to this file for the main board: github.com/andrivet/ADVi3pp It looks like the link you have for the PCB is just a version or Marlin, not ADVi3
