I bought one of those Dewalt's. I have one thing to say, "for the money, they are useless.' It takes 8 minutes to fill with air. American made, read what iit says on the motor.

I have a 30' overhead zilla reel never had a problem. Purchasing the Dewalt 30 gallon from Tractor Supply for $509.

I always make sure I use MILTON "V" style couplers because they're high flow and imo milton is the best ac components.

Great Video Nick! Two things; the air hose reel is backwards, and the reel locks when you hear that clicking. Feel free to pm me with any questions I use mine everyday!

I think if he mounted it to the wall it would be a lot easier to instead of reaching down every time and also cleaner

I have a giant 2 stage air compressor. We run an automatic purge valve on it, so it spits out water and gunk everytime it purges out. Brake parts cleaner works really well for cleaning off oil on airline hoses.

Your father-in-law installation might be wrong I think it's designed to be hung and Dewalt is china made I believe it's American name and assembled in America the tank might by America but the rest it's 💯%🇨🇳

The best air hose I've ever had is made by coilhose pneumatics 3/8 by 75ft.

Maybe trying to install the reel on the wall or ceiling and see if that is why it’s not retracting and locking like it should

When the hose reel is clicking slow down and stop pulling while it clicks it will hold the hose at that length

How do you get the air filter on? The handle is in the way and does not have enough space between the coupler and the handle. Can I rig it up another way?

You have to learn to use the hose reel. As it is clicking pull slow and each time you hear it click you can lock it there.

I just bought a 20 gallon craftsman 4cfm for $159 oil less I’m in same boat . Do I still need a filter if it’s oilers?? And will it run impact?

Ahhh that's probably why it wont go in all the way? I'm honestly not sure. My walls are pretty much sheetrock so I didn't want to mount it to the wall....it does work for what I need though:)

Yeah, that’s why it doesn’t retract all the way. It’s supposed to hang from the ceiling and be grabbed.

If you can "rotate" the reel to you, so the opening is facing you instead of upward and back, you can get it to retract properly while still being mounted to the floor. Hope that makes sense

@@carynrshorts ahhh okay. Yeah like i said my handy father in law did that for me:) I'm good at making cars shiny but not so much the mechanical DIY stuff. I just wanted something that would retract and store the cord...and it's halfway decent as is.
