PLEASE NOTE! Camera focus, professional lighting, bokeh blur (background defocus) and brightness adjustments all make a huge difference to how skin texture looks in videos! Pores, spots/acne, peach fuzz, hair, discolouration, scarring, dry/oily patches etc, on skin are all NORMAL and nothing to be ashamed of.
No one in real life and natural light looks the same as they will under studio lighting with high quality cameras. Please don't compare your natural skin to what you see online, especially on sites like TikTok and Instagram which utilise filters almost constantly. Most phones these days also have skin softening or smoothing effects in their camera apps. Photo editing and retouching is common and used in almost all media, far beyond just adverts and TV now. The beauty standards promoted on social media are sometimes outlandish and unrealistic.
With that in mind, we want to remind you that you are perfect as you are. Makeup is for fun, creativity, enhancement, or whatever you want it to be, but it will always look like makeup on the skin. Your beauty comes from YOU, and you don't need makeup to be that. ❤️

I am 51 years old, and having DID and aging was a struggle for a long time, luckily my current host always takes care of the routines of eating and hygiene, I think its because they are only 29 and they don't like seeing the signs of aging so much... when you said aging means you survived, that really hit home, that is what one of my alters says to ground us when we are struggling, they tell me how old I am and what year and that we are ok and safe. Keep up the great content and taking care of yourself.

It is a treat to see this channel post again. I've been subscribed for years, and 3 months ago, realized that I am part of a system during a mental health crisis. Your channel's education helped me understand what was happening and informed my headmates on how to respond, as many of them were aware of each other prior to my knowledge. I most align with "host" since I identify most with this body and its history, but I prefer "vessel." :) In any case, thank you to all in your system. I wish the best for you all and your channel and am delighted to see something lighthearted. Taly of Purgatory

Hey Kya! I know this’ll get lost in the comments, but I wanted you to know I found Chloe’s videos 4-5 years ago and she introduced me to the concept of DID. This last week, after months of questioning, I found out I also have it. I’m sure a lot of systems go through the process of having a special interest in DID content creators before realizing- something about our brains seek it out. I feel like my mind was trying to tell me something and I wasn’t picking up what it was putting down lol. I know you’ve probably got a great support system and group of friends, but if you ever want online friends, let me know. Both me and my husband are systems and we are actively trying to build community. My husband is an RA survivor and I’m “home grown” (as we put it). Either way, we’re enormously glad you’re back, because your content is such a comfort to us and we love watching it. I’m so glad things are turning around for you. Can’t wait for the next one!

Kya I just have to say that what you said about proof of aging is proof that you made it through the rough parts and I started tearing up. I currently have developed some stretch marks from gaining weight because of birth control to help regulate my cycle, plus I am getting older, but those stretch marks have been making me so insecure and just hate my legs rn but what you said about aging really resonated with me. Yeah my body might have marks and spots and stuff I don’t like but those things are proof that my body is still alive and I’m not the same depressed girl I was a few years ago. I’m growing and that’s amazing. So thank you Kya 🥰

My therapist said that (since I was first diagnosed with depression/anxiety/panic disorder/the works lol) my mind is almost kinda still stuck at that point in my late teenage years. I feel like that's common for a lot of people who go through things during their teen years/etc. But what you said about surviving and still going, that's some powerful stuff. A lot of times people forget that, especially people dealing with mental illnesses.

Thanks for what you said about aging ♡ I don't have DID, but I also didn't think I'd live this long and honestly, I can't wait to be older. It's nice to hear people talk bout aging as a good thing and I really wish it were more common.

I jumped to this video after "Kyle does my makeup". And I have to say it has the same energy. But skill improvement is undeniable. 👌

The part where Kya was talking about how the affects of ageing show how they (the system) has survived and I just thought, “Yes you fluffing did!” I know I am a stranger, but I am so happy to see you living and breathing and smiling. You deserve the world, and I hope you get that one day ❤️

When you spoke about making it past childhood and being in your 20s feeling like you’re still a teen- I relate so hard. I constantly feel imposter syndrome like I’m a “fake adult” or that I shouldn’t have made it into adult hood. Hearing someone else talk about it made me feel less alone. Edit: by the way I’m in love with your makeup techniques and I would love to see more makeup looks!!!

In my opinion, probably the "simplest" step-by-step tutorial on eyeliner for hooded eyes! Can't wait to try it. 🤩 Speaking of cateyes, your furbaby's eyes are absolutely amazing! 😻

You being irritated at the heat is so relatable, I have hyperhydrosis so heat especially in the summer just makes me turn into a puddle.

I love this makeup look on you! Also, I’ve wanted to try eyeliner for a while but I was scared for a few reasons but I’m starting a new chapter in my life and I think it’s finally time for a new makeup look. Anyways that was a long way to say I will definitely be saving this video for that mini cat eye tutorial. Thank you so much for all that you do and keep up the good work! Edit: forgot but I would love a video like that!

I've gone without make-up for a long time when it used to be a part of my daily routine (probably partly because of mental health struggles), but I was at a wedding recently and for the first time in probably 7 years I put a little make-up on and despite all of make-up's frustrating features, I realized how much fun it was to get ready (I especially missed drawing eyeliner/wings). Make-up is totally an art form and the whole process is so grounding and fun it makes me want to try fun colors and styles. 🥰 You did an amazing job, Kya! This format was really great, like hanging out with an older sibling who's sharing their life advice. Much love! 💕💕
