Recently I got temporary termination mail. My account was closed for 4 days. problem was I put a wrong category in one of my book. I saw that putting category ``GENRAL'' is very much dangerous !! I got Reinstate my Account and corrected every single issues in my books. Amazon Support team is very much responsive and kind.
I would like to believe what you say in the end is true, that if you follow the rules everyone gets their account back if they respond and comply with KDP requests. But I see many accounts where that's not the case. First of all, KDP doesn't specify what was wrong, or when they do they contradict. Often KDP makes a mistake in banning. How can you fix a target that is hidden and never stops moving?
Thats what happens when 90,000 people publish the same coloring book, journal or diary at the recommendation of youtubers for fast money. Junked up the Amazon site making it difficult to find real books.

I attempted to publish my first fantasy novel, but after a week, Amazon informed me of a rights issue. I submitted a contract granting publishing rights to my pen name, but received no response. Then, they temporarily suspended my KDP account for alleged Terms and Conditions violations. I've complied with their requests and submitted additional support tickets, but after three weeks, there's still no response. What should I do?
Get a lawyer, but be sure you can prove you wrote the book and that the Library of congress has a correct copy to prove you are the owner of said book. Also, be sure that your book's plot is not overly similar to someone else's plot. I'd also work with a good book editor company. I can't name anyone specific though. Best Wishes!
Great Video. I do understand what your saying. You are right that those that get totally terminated, are probably not acting in good faith. That being said, the rules of your Video should be a video training from Amazon itself. In other words, while Amazon does have all these rules in written form. You made it much easier to understand clearly what each rule is about then Amazon it self does. When I first became an instructor on Udemy & Skillshare (Under a different name). Both Udemy and Skillshare have courses produced by them telling potential instructors how to meet Udemy & Skillshare’s guidelines. I wish Amazon were much more clear in making videos teaching Amazon’s guidelines.

I got told notebooks are allowed to have different covers, and most interiors of notebooks are all the same so I don't get what your saying about notebooks. I mean I can see it with other books that are not notebooks, but I mean literally how are you going to make different interior notebooks when they look all the same anyways.
I was brand new to KDP and when my books got sent back to change to avoid a negative customer experience, I responded to email and tried to guess what was wrong. I asked for assistance, if they could confirm my guess or help me understand. The next respond I got was that I was terminated. I tried to send appeal but got no response. 😞 I tried a second appeal, still no response. Is it worth continuing to try or am I done? 😢
I wrote a book that is long, it’s definitely high content. I accidentally clicked it’s low content. The book is under review, I can’t go back and change the problem while it’s under review. Is this going to be a problem?
Just to be reasonable, you should not put the weight of asking people not to ask you how you did on yourself, it's not anyone's fault that you get asked that question all the time, it's the nature of the beast. Instead, create a link right there on your screen that leads to the video or just simply state that you have a video on it already. Asking 128000+ subs, and more subbing every day not to ask how you did it is kind of like asking a flock of birds not to fly.
I had my amazon account locked up because they suspected 'unauthorized access' and I cannot access it again because apparently, they cannot ask me 'enough security questions'. This happened a few days after I opened a kdp account...
Question about the accounts. Is a personal prime amazon account count or is it just if you have a second kdp account. I created a kdp account thinking the prime account I already had is separate. Should I delete the personal prime account I use to buy stuff? I haven't published anything let on kdp but I have books set up.
For us not Americans - from europe - we have to pay thr vat for the advertisement after end of month, if we don't have a company. Which totally makes ads not directly profitable. It'd be cool if you make a video about how to set up an LLC etc - you might also be affiliate and suggest some companies for this purpose.

For example, I uploaded 4 similar books, two different covers but 120 pages for 2 and 150 for the other 2. Although they were all approved by Amazon, should I be worried about my account being suspended?

That’s a tough one. As unfair as it sounds, yes i do think she will get accused of faking her name or just hate unless she disclosed that it’s her real name in every book
Just an fyi, when talking about "Bibles," the sections within are indeed referred to as "books." I understand what you're meaning when you caution against misleading content or descriptions, but historically, what are seemingly chapters within the Bible are called books.

Your vidoes are always amazing and this particular one is not an exception. Amazon has terminatd many of my accounts and not even minding I haven't made any sales on my present account, I always feel scared once I rise and wants to check my account and even whenever I remember my kdp account because of AI usage 😢

Sean, I have seen a lot of KDP interiors on Creative Fabrica that state they are KDP-ready to upload. I have tried to edit these types of interiors and cannot do so. Will my account get banned if I use them?

It was the kdp who only showed 2 chapters as a peak of what's inside. Otherwise who would still buy it if they can read the entire content on the thumbnail [ magnify it ] So before reporting someone think twice. You might do more harm than good.
Oh, dear, that Goleman guy is really, really sketchy. I think he should be reported, what he is doing is not good at all, he’s deceived all the people who bought his book. Apart from this, I have a question: how can you make the interior of a notebook unique? There are only so many ways you can make lined pages. This worries me a bit. Also, if you add a notebook with a botanical image in the cover, for example, would it be justified to add the Gardening, English Gardens or Flowers category? Or would that be considered irrelevant category? Or if you have a baseball image in the cover to add it to the sports books - baseball category?
Someone reported me and it suspended my account. I had an 11K month. I had to start over. It was a very bad experience. I have never reported anyone. I don't feel peaceful about it.
Yeah, it was just a competitor. I have a google sheet of all the things I would report, but I always wonder if I am penalized for reporting.@@SeanDollwet
They don't actually tell you. They went on to find that someone on Creative Fabrica stole images and uploaded them to Creative Fabrica and then through my license, I downloaded them and used them. I won't use Creative Fabrica again. @@OldtimersMovies
The part about translating the books into other languages...is this if you use AI to do it, it's bad? If I get my Spanish speaking friend who works doing translations as a job to help me translate my children's book in Spanish, with the Spanish equivalent title, etc, is that ok?
@sean Dollwet, please teach us how to create LLC account for Amazon KDP publishing. And please I have little suggestion to make. Stop telling people to report a book they feel is misleading. I know humans and they can abuse things. It's not easy to build an account. Amazon KDP review books before they are published. In respect to that, let them do their jobs by themselves.
Sure, and I agree with you. I’ve only shared how to report a book in two of my videos because the fake review abuse got so bad, but after this video hopefully people will stop these shady tactics. Thanks for the comment.
another question is, if the 100% content generated by ai after careful review is of quality, why should I change it? Amazon asks if I used AI to generate content, as well as for translations, I don't see where the problem is if I don't change something that is already fine for me as it is
I thank you for this video but I had a doubt, I saw some books that did not pass the review due to the "misleading" title or author name when in reality there was nothing wrong written, it was simply because Amazon didn't like some words, but they were very normal titles that did not encourage customers to buy. it was solved by changing some words, isn't there a list of prohibited words to include?

Hello my account was terminated this morning, I knew the reason was keyword stuffing but i did not know this at the time because the initial email KDP sent to me made it seem as though the issue was that, somebody else had a similar title to me. So i had assumed that the issue that the title was similar to the titles of books i had already published and the system flagged up as the new books i wanted to publish being the same as the previous books that had already been published. so I modified all the new books and changed the title so they were all different and re-sent them for review. But i had not solved the issue which was word stuffing, if anything i made it worse. I only realised this when i went on KDP community and it was pointed out to me. but by this time i had already re-submitted about 7 books which their titles were well and fully stuffed with words, and i was terminated this morning. 😢
My account just terminated. I got email about the misleading title because I also put size of the book in title (I thought that is the problem). So I changed it to just put the title as "Notebook" and nothing else because I am too scared to make a mistake. But still i just get email that my account is terminated. I don't know what to do now.😢
@@geraldinetitarina2236what you mean by terminated. After terminating how could you access your account to change title and other details. I think you are speaking about rejection of books. Not account termination.

This was another great video, thank you. I'm wondering about trademark infringement. If you do a word search book and one answer is James Bond or Pokemon, is that enough to be a problem. And what if you were writing a novel and said, Bob and Tom walked into a McDonalds. Is that enough to be a pr oblem?
I got my account closed for a trademarked term in the keywords. After some communication, the account was reopened. The guys at Amazon were very helpful and nice. The book got delisted and could not be corrected. What I find much more annoying is the flood if AI crap coming on the platform. There will be a divide of times before and after 2023 in literature. Everything after 2023 cannot be fully trusted. All classics before are hopefully having a Renaissance. Greetings Nina

To that email I answered very long and nice, explaining in length that I have read the rules, that I am super sorry if I did something wrong, that I alway so much care about copyright, that I sometimes even check terms for titles in the WIPO worldwide trademark database etc etc. After that super long email, I always had persons answering me. They sometimes used pre-written text fragments, but after some back and forth everything was solved. They answered all my questions. In the end, I said a big thank you although my book was canceled. It is all about being nice to people. Also Amazon is computers operated by a bunch of folks. 😀
@@saadnoura275 I just answered the Email that was sent to me with the notice that my account was closed. I wrote a very long, very nice email and I received an answer with a name of someone responsible for my case. After some communication with this person, I got my account back. Always be super nice and always apologize. That is the way to success.

About having multiple KDP accounts: I currently have 3 authors under my imprint and each has an Amazon Author page. I heard that in order to have Author pages for any more than those 3, I have to open another KDP account, even though I'll be using my same account holder name/tax ID/bank info for the second KDP account. Will I get flagged and possibly banned if I do that, or maybe is there another way to have more than 3 Amazon Author pages under one account?
You can only have one kdp account, but you can have as many author central accounts registered under a different email as you want. Just don't mistakenly log in into kdp with any other email you create for your new author central accounts. This is 100%.
What about the new update about content generated by Ai for my book i just used it in 2 pages but my whole book is designed by me what do you think i should do yes or no in check section i have just make it in draft until i know the right information to make a good decision about it

Amazon shut my KDP account and couldn't recover it because I shut the retail account down two weeks ago taking your advice and others by not having two KDP accounts I had one old one I never used before because it was a error anybody could make, but if you shut the retail account it automatically shuts the KDP account if it's the same email used on the retail account. ( HOW DUMB IS THAT ) I didn't know this I just thought you can't have two retail accounts and two KDP accounts so I shut down one of each so I lost all my books but lucky I only had 5 and £15 in commissions. Such a pain in the but I worked hard on it. I might just stick to free downloads and email list building now and sell using my email list I have 50 in two weeks ha ha. Need to get to 2 to 5k emails and see if I can get any sales as PDF's for £2 with one upsell for £1 and a cross sell for 50p and make £3.50 from a pdf. I do have a business email list with 65k emails but I don't really want to email them its for marketing stuff not kids books so might use that list for a custom audience ad on something that allows it.
