What about helping people in need with solar, water filtration, sanitation, teaching modern gardening techniques? Is there someone you would suggest talking to or working with to make the money stretch further?
That's an incredible price Tom! Spacious, bright, and convenient location! The option to teach in Cambodia sounds interesting and I'm sure many people will be looking into that! Have a great day Tom!
Nice apartment, Cheap ($350) and convenient. When you rent an apartment in Cambodia, it comes with furniture, tv, bed (everything). Is that right, Tom?
Nice apartment. Where is the Russian market in relation to the palace and riverside? I'm most familiar with the palace area and use that as my point of reference.
This is what’s stressing me out the most. Do you think two weeks before starting AVSE will be long enough to find an apartment or do I need to make it like 3 weeks?
I think that’s more than enough time. You can find one in one day even. A rep will show you a bunch in your price range with the things you want, and you can start a lease at anytime - does not have to be the 1st. I can give you tips on websites for listings. When you msg them and ask to view one, they will show you it, plus a handful of similar ones in the area. All you have to do is pay first and lasts and you can start on the spot. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qUoeFLgcy6o.htmlsi=4QhPodUmkP-9LwYG Here’s a video I made about it
@@ilonqranqer if your sister can teach English I can help recommend a program with guaranteed job assistance. They cover Cambodia and Vietnam- AVSE TESOL. www.avse.edu.vn CODE: Tom Trips Out
@@charlesmassaquoi6717 I was searching listings on Facebook and a website called Khmer24 - when you msg and show interest in one the rep will arrange to show it to you and they usually show you like 5 other similar ones in the same afternoon. Eventually you find one
@@beaulong after looking at many in the city - this place actually is the size of a $450 place. It would be hard to get a place like this for under $400. I haggled them down -- $250 is more like Khmer style places with no elevator and very dated. - but you’re right if you go away from the city like Kampot, or Siem reap you can get an entire house with yard for $250
@@LetsTalkAboutItWithMara you can only use schools that are based IN Cambodia to get a work visa. I work for an actual language center here in the city that happens to have an online option for their students, as well as in person classes in a real classroom. I’ve chosen to do just the online students.
@@LetsTalkAboutItWithMara I think the way to get a work visa and teach on any online platform is to register yourself as “self employed” like you’re your own company. I have not done this so I don’t know much about it. But that’s something to look into
