I'm so glad you're joining us for the group read for Alcott April! I'm looking forward to it. Amanda Cox is an author I want to try, so I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on her book. I love Jaime Jo Wright but I haven't read that one by her yet. AndAll the Light We Cannot See is one of my all time favorites. Fantastic book.

I'm an April baby too, Alma! I've always loved having an April birthday because we get to share the same month as Resurrection Day! The most hope-filled and joyful day of the year! (Except those occasional years like this one when the March babies get the honor.)

Has your birthday been on Easter before? I think mine has in the past. I think April is the perfect month. Not too cold and not too hot.

@@AlmasBookJourney It has! In 2019, and I was so excited. I'm upper Gen X, so I had waited a long time for that to happen! It will be again in 2030. (It is surreal that 2030 is only 6 years away! 🤯)

Anne of Green Gables is great! I'm hoping to participate a bit in Alcott April. I didn't think I'll do all the prompts, either. I'm so excited about Katie's readathon! Don't really have a plan for most of the prompts, but I think I can just mood read for that one. Hopefully. 😂 Pride and Prejudice is so good! I really liked the Mandie books as a s kid!

I think you can mood read with Katie's prompts. I should probably read Anne of Green Gables this month...especially since it's with a Montgomery challenge. Excited about finally reading Pride and Prejudice as well. Thank you for watching!

Well, Anne of Green Gables is my favorite, so I always recommend that! I really liked the selection series too. It’s been a while since I read it. I didn’t like the spinoff series, but I kept the first three because I thought they were fun. I am really excited to read The Inheritance. I really liked Eight Cousins and Pride and Prejudice as well. Okay I keep adding to this because you have a lot of good possibilities for April!

I'm really looking forward to my April tbr. I have Jaime Jo Wright's new release preordered. It will be my first by her! I'll also be picking up A Beautiful Disguise by Roseanna M. White for The Protagonist's Pub book club. The rest of my April reading is going to be chosen from the books I have most wanted to get to in Jan-Mar but haven't yet. Woohoo!🎉

@@AlmasBookJourney nope that's the 2005 version. The 95 A&E version is the mini series, with Colin Firth-- it is pretty much the exact same as the book so if you have trouble understanding the book, watch the 95 and it'll make more sense
