This is one of my favorite comedy skits. I had a Philippino roommate at the time I first saw this and she literally could not breathe dying of laughter
I can tell Asians apart by appearance. I worked in a Japanese restaurant for years as a kid and basically had my own Halmy Ms. Lim. They employed all sorts of people. I was the one white guy who became a Hibachi Chef eventually, but we had Pinay, Malay, Japanese, Korean (the owners and Ms. Lim were Korean themselves), Viet, and Taiwanese in the restaurant through the time I worked there. I still remember a lot of their names. Yoshiko and Hiro Kudo were the owners. Ms. Lim, AKA, Halmy. Danny was the head Hibachi Chef (Japanese). Razaa was our Malay Chef. Taesup was our Viet chef. It was a beautiful job to have so young because it gave me a lot of amazing experiences with people and cultures.
Oh man i grew up in a HEAVY Vietnamese population we had a Little Saigon district (San Jose, CA)...like 3 pages of my yearbook are "Nguyen" 😂...and when i heard this joke i was DYING thats so spot on, also the part about never fucking with them is facts, they dont play...but i love Viet people and their food
Scru, he doesn't only seem like a cool guy, JoKoy is inspirational. his stories about how he hustled through life just to get to where he is right now is really amazing. he worked his a$$ off just to be able to give his son the life that he has now. you should watch, not only hos specials, but also his interviews.
This is very refreashing to see Scru react to stand up comedians, especially to Jokoy... and with his wife. I thought I was seeing things..I saw the thumbnails appear on the recommendations and I was like, is that Scru?...That's Scru Face Jean.😂 More of Jokoy please with your wife.❤
Filipinos have the best sense of humor out of all of the Asian nationalities I've ever met in my 35 years of life living in NY. My ex-gf was from Cebu originally and she took me to a Jo Koy show before I even knew who the guy was and it was incredible! It wasn't until I got older that I got some of the cultural references. (the sandals joke for example)
Whaaat?! I thought he was gonna go through the list! This was too short! The image he painted with the Vietnamese drive by, though. Hilarious and so on point. 😂
Definitely do a deeper dive into Jo Koy's comedy, some other highlights are, Rice is Rice and any story involving his mom, but have to recommend watching the full-length comedy specials, their worth it.
So dang funny! I didn’t know your wife was Vietnamese! My first real job was at a student loan company in Boston. I started in the file room. There were 10 people from Vietnam, 3 from China, 1 older Haitian woman, 3 Nigerian guys, and me( 18 year old white girl from the south shore.) Haha. After 5 years, we were like one big- loud- sorta weird family. Sooooo - I said all that to say (lol) Vietnamese people are the best Asians 🤣 but seriously.
🇵🇭 You could do all of Jo's videos and never Run out of Topics to laugh at .. awhile ago I'm watching his Ireland Special. Barry gave him Beer in Cup!!! I have his Hawaii, LA Forum but I want to have is his First Video, Live in Seattle, and his older videos where he Told of how his Mom Pinched him in the Church.. there's also one video where Jo sang MJ and it was cool and funny too !!! Watch em when I'm really sad. Cheered me up !!!!
As a Filipino, I kind of agree with the Vietnamese size. There are several of them living here in the Philippines and I never seen an obese Vietnamese and Taiwanese also compared to someone from Myanmar and Chinese who are also here in the Philippines.
The Vietnamese one reminds me of this video I watched of justkiddingknews) judging which Asian accent is sexiest by reenacting the Notebook in their respective accents lmao ("Đụ má, what do you want?!") . And one of them explaining the different way they sound phonetically (similar bit) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zomELGZK3IY.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y4jBY45IHG0.html (also reenacted Taken in Vietnamese accents) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IRsqsinsGjQ.htmlsi=I6gcX0nWKDeMubYL&t=638
Can't believe bro forgot to add "hot" in the title. Then again, at the same time, glad he didn't, cause almost everybody does it, so brownie points. Remember I was conflicted.
If your wife listens to kpop, you can do kpop reactions with her. Ik u done some back in the day, I enjoyed them. Funnily enough Soyeon (the person you reacted to) is considered to be one of the best female rappers in Korea
