Gday Jeff, thanks for showing you wonderful collection of axes. It reminded me that I have a plumb Tasmanian axe that I got for my 21st birthday I’m 62 now. I’m originally from the mainland but am now on six acres in southern tassie, I’ll have to dig it out of storage and put it to work as I’m pretty sure it’s hardly hit the wood. Really like your tree work.
You have an impressive knowledge of your collection and the history , part of me thinks I hope you're insured seeing as you are showing them and hinting at the value , I'd hate for you to be robbed .
I have a couple Plumb axes with that lip or seem from the pouring in the cast. Is plumb known for that on maybe there lower end paper label line? Also I have a couple axes I’m embarrassed to say what I paid for too hahah. I think all true axe enthusiasts have a couple white whales they absolutely needed at any cost.
