I've been watching your collection videos recently, and am now on episode number 4. That is quite a collection you have there, Jeff. Thanks for sharing it, and I appreciate your historical knowledge of axes as well.
Dude ur collection is crazy man you have some wicked axes man. The Legitimus rafters and all the different tassies like the one with bevels. Unreal. I think the rafter you have with just the 4 on it is Mann.
I’d really like to buy a particular one of those axes from you Jeff, but with my fixed income there’s no way possible right now with my particular situation in life. 😢 I realize that’s not your problem but mine, so I’ll just keep on keeping on with what I’ve got until I can manage to save my pennies and “hopefully” purchase the particular one that I’m REALLY wanting to get, maybe 2 so that I’m covering the entire gambit. Then I’ll be set for life as far as axes go. You know; 1 for wedge banging and 1 for splitting. Time is on my side but coins are not. 🤬
trying to find rafter pattern axes here in australia is quite difficult. but we have shitloads of tassies. is there any tassy axes your trying to track down, maybe we could do a trade?
I dont get the prices off the kelly wax axes. I bought one for $10 on ebay 10 years ago and now there selling for stupid money. They are not even that old and had a bar code on them when sold new
I'm interested in the Cloins phantom tasmanian (splitting profile). How much do you charge for shipping (WA St) and what is the preferred payment method? I'd also be interested in one with no handle instead, as I'd like to have a 36" handle.
Amazing collection, cant wait to see more, appreciate all the info as well. Is there any chance the Collins Tasmanian or the Dandenong is still available? I'm in need of a good splitting axe.
Hey man, I realize you posted this several months ago but was wondering if either of the phantom bevel Kelly or the Dandenong are still available? Also wondering if you know what the Kelly Tasmanian pattern silver Eagle is and how to tell if it’s a legit silver eagle and I also have seen a couple other English Kelly Dandenong and heard that they were made by Brades for Kelly do you know if that is the case or not? I have a Brades and like it a lot and it doesn’t seem to be like the Ewell which loses its edge quickly from what I understand. I have never owned a Ewell but like I said the Brades cockatoo is a great Tassie in my opinion. Last question for you. So there is two profiles of Kelly Dandenong one is thick and pre 1964 I believe and assuming the other Canadian made Kelly Dandenong is the slimmer profile which I also have and guessing that is newer? Anyway I would like to see if you have any of those still for sale and I would gladly buy them while also trying to figure out that silver eagle Kelly Tassie. I never heard of the Wax Tassie by Kelly is it rather rare or is it a newer version of the Tassie ?
