My Barangay - my Rules? 

Well it was in the news already. He was summoned by DILG and also taken by PNP for the inquest. The car wash was also smashed down (photo in the comment section of my Facebook post) A lot of people just don't understand that the administrative route is really the most effective option in that scenario.

@@GadgetAddict Does that mean he wont be the brgy captain anymore? He been brought to a police station for inquest so i guess dilg filed a charge against him?

@@reinielldeguzman70 he was taken by police, for the inquest, because of the alleged assault. I don't think DILG have publicly announced what action they're planning to take... yet.

This incident was already reported to the DILG. The PNP also arrived and started the process of investigating the alleged physical altercation.

The problem is DILG is stupid like abalos🤣🤣🤣 DILG is blind when it comes to money🤣🤣🤣

@@edwinamazona5474 the Question is what would cause sir. Nebrija to back out when he usually is dominant and intolerant to nonsense which I liked about him. But why back out now and allow these people to even bargain keeping their stuff when it should have been confiscated.

I think maybe jurisdiction or said laws by the local or municipality of that city that made him back off and review the case. So MMDA will be back with full authority and backed up by the DILG

That is why manila esp, is a hard city to crack down... they just don't back down even against government authorities. They feel that sense of power when they have kagawad/chairman/police/even some councilors to pampered their illegal doings.

Not only do the trucks obstruct the road, but they continuously break the flow of traffic by running back and forth between the trucks and the warehouse, unloading a few sacks at a time. @@ralphreycenia5596 that has been a conflict for many years already. That's why people were asking if the DILG will take an official position on this, now that they're renewing their focus on clearing public roads. The national law says it's not allowed, but the LGU will give a MOA or permit that says it is allowed. The MMDA clearing teams have pretty much always been told to respect the autonomy of the local government. Although in some extreme or dangerous situations, they won't honor it.

GA we hoping that there is a follow up here regarding that Chairman, masyadong mayabang eh, illegal naman yun gawain.

then why isnt this cleared right away, if the owner of the carwash is not a brgy official, im sure the clearing would push through.

There was an update released earlier. Apparently the Barangay Chairman was already summoned by the DILG. I already saw the PNP arrive on scene and start the investigation/report of the alleged physical altercation.

@@edwardlong1188 daming talagang walang alam sa pilipinas, di man lang anong assault. Tinagiliran niya ang isang MMDA, physical assault yan kahit mag google ka man lang di ka nag effort matuto. Under Philippine law "any willful attempt or threat to inflict injury upon the person of another, when coupled with an apparent present ability to do so, and any intentional display of force such as would give the victim reason to fear or expect immediate bodily harm" yan ang assault. Hindi man nakita sa video ang assault sa dami ng witness n kasama ano sa tingin mo sino mag sisinungaling? ang corrupt na opisyal na yan or mga mmda na andoon lang para magbaklas ng illegal structures?

Yan ang napapala ng taong bayan kapag palaging postpone ang Brgy. Eleksyon.

I'm not so sure about that. Because there's a "common man" also operating a sari-sari store on the sidewalk near the Barangay hall. Their stuff wasn't taken either. MMDA SCOG are generally far more lenient than DPS. They do sometimes confiscate items, especially if they already gave a LOT of warnings. But most of the time, if the owner is there, they just make them take the obstruction inside their house, or to roll away.

That's why they didn't waste their time fighting with the barangay. It's simple and quick to file a report with the DILG. That's why the chairman was summoned by the DILG. And because of the alleged assault, he was taken by PNP for the inquest. The car wash was smashed down and the sidewalk is clear. A lot of people just don't realize the administrative route is easier if you're dealing with the barangay instead of an "ordinary" person.

Natalo sya sa election pero yung car wash nya nandoon parin nakatago lang sa pader.
