Hey Troy, I've had this cooker for 2 and a half years now. I have put an extension on the fan to keep the charcoal debris out of it. Ive also had to put a new door sensor in it. But this thing makes quality BBQ evrytime. Thanks for stopping by my friend
Those look nice. I usually cook mine at 225, but definitely need to try 275 real soon. (I like the Chargriller 980, but after my experience with the Chargriller Auto Kamado I decided to pass.)
Yeah, i wanted to cook a bit hot for these thick baby backs. 275 was a good temp for this particular cook. I also have the Auto Kamado. It did take some doing to get it straight but it's working fine now. As far as the 980, I've had mine for 2 and a half years. I have needed to replace a door sensor and get some charcol debris out of the fan. But overall this is an awesome cooker.
