I was born female and identify as female but I also was born with a overabundance of testosterone. I grow a beard and had many issues with getting pregnant and other things. So to say you are born as what you are meant to be infuriates me because although I am female and identifying as female I have many male characteristics. Their biology also decides brain chemistry and studies have shown much more similarity in brain chemistry and makeup between trans people and their actual gender than trans people and their sex (such as a trans man like Jamie having ,for in common neurologically with cisgender men than cisgender women.. But isn’t that cool? Science is great when we are able to find out more about ourselves as humans! So yeah it’s not pretending or a performance, please don’t intentionally twist my explanation to cater to your outdated and uneducated opinion. Trans people are their gender, they’re not pretending anything, just being themselves. Anyway yeah there’s your definitions, I’d encourage you to read up on the subject since just because you believe something isn’t a thing doesn’t mean it suddenly ceases to be. And he did have a lot of therapy before transitioning. It's literally not allowed to medically transition without therapy beforehand. People arent going around transitioning for fun, its often nessicary for their mental health. Jamey actually made a lot of useful videos about this, I suggest you watch them. A lot of the things you mentioned are common misconceptions
