Him waiting until he is 35 is to his benefit. In 10 years, the overwhelming majority of his audience will be of the age to vote. The only issue is that his regular name wont have the same draw as Mr Beast. He needs to either change his last name to Beast, or his middle name. So it will appear on the ballot
I think he could do it with his regular name if he has a crazy campaign. Imagine him posting his face/name on every billboard in America to vote for him.
10 years is such a long time as far as the Internet is concerned. RU-vid has only been around for 20 years, and we've seen tons of content creators rise and fall.
In the uk we had the leaders promising "short term pain for long term gain" with austerity. The problem was that it ended up being short term pain for long term more pain.
sure, but the UK has generally been poorly governed for at least a decade now and brexit + sunak have been the final nail on the coffin that's different from posing a policy and letting everyone know the pros and cons and deciding whether it's good or bad. you (the country) basically just burned the whole place to the ground
meanwhile it was mismanaged to hell, with masses of government contracts going to their friends and each other's family members... the uk government has been a shitshow for a long time
austerity in the painful places should be coming with investment in the places where money is needed... like educating the next generation of necessary skills. Sending money into propping up new industries, enticing firms to move into certain lower income areas, sending functions of government away from london, like tax bureau into some northern england city
Quick note, there was actually no need for the correction at 0:25. Yes, he'll technically be the age to run in nine years, but he was correct in saying 12 years, as im pretty sure he meant in 12 years will be the next elecrion cycle that he'll actually have the ability to run in. So yes, itll be another 12 years until you can vote for Mr Beast.
@@Tomtainius Man I remember him making a hammer in his tree stump house and being mindblown that it could break 9 blocks at a time. What a time that was
I mean, markiplier can run for president now. Hank Green has been asked to run for local office. They’re probably smart enough to not do it, but Jimmy has a track record of actually getting crazy stuff done.
He would also probably have a much better chance then someone like markiplier, the general public would probably not respond super well to someone who made their name playing video games or doing sketch comedy but you could spin most of Mr beast's videos as just doing philanthropy work with extra steps.
Atrioc talks about RU-vidrs running for office a lot, has he ever talked about or seen Brandon Herrera (gun RU-vidr) running for a Texas congressional seat and almost winning?
Brandon lost by 400 votes by the way. AGAINST AN INCUMBENT (still in office) POLITICIAN WITH THE GOVERNMENT BEHIND HIM. If you said that 30 years ago people would put you in a home.
Homie is a crazy entrepreneur, hell yes make him president, as long as he could focus his insanity towards making the government more efficient, he would get shit done
something nice this guy does is that when responding to chat, he also shows us the exact message that the person sent. not really needed, but is sooo nice to have!
Barbra from the the Capitol Hill cafeteria meets these credentials - I.e decades of public service, works across the isle, lies with confidence, knows all the secrets, passionate about efficiency, keeps things moving during a crisis, can debate anyone into submission, has never taken a holiday, thinks her diabetes is fake news … she is the leader we need!
I see mr beast being president, its the modern age ronald reagan movie star story. plus "jimmy donaldson" is such a president name, you can just feel it.
Mrbeast is also a disgusting workaholic so I kinda believe that if being the best president became his hyperfixation he could do a pretty good job, especially given 10+ years of time from now
It is crazy to think about how crazy big its got, I remember early on I think when people like ManVGame were on top of the platform with like 2-4k viewers?
While I do think that content creators are going to have good draw for politics in the near to mid term, they do not have EVEN CLOSE to enough support to run for president without a political party backing them. The apparatus required to run for president is legitimately gargantuan, and it is unbelievably cutthroat. Almost all of the resources are contained within the bounds of a political party. Even Mr. Beast I think has, at most, a 5% chance of winning an election outside of a political party. I think he wins if he chooses to join a political party, though that costs him a good chunk of his audience in the process. Anyone smaller than him actually has NO chance. Never underestimate how deeply under a rock the median American voter is. They are not like us
I think it’s a possibility if he runs after a national catastrophe. Like Atrioc said about FDR, it would take another world war or Great Depression for people to vote outside the two party system
influencers like mr beast have a big advantage in that they can mobilize their base very effectively because of the parasocial relationship they have. trump is one of a few presidential candidates that have managed to create this kind of relationship with their base, just think of all the people who put out trump flags and basically worship him. mr beast is actually on a similar course to him with how he has built a brand around himself (compare trump steak, tower, tv shows, etc. with mr beast burger, bar, youtube, etc) so even regular people are already aware of who he is because you see his products at the store and on billboards. it's just a matter of turning his fans into voters
Big A's point on content creators gaining the power to influence elections makes the question of who controls the recommendation and discovery algorithms that much more important. Makes the TikTok ban sound a lot more convincing. Maybe the evidence they never revealed was that TikTok is already being used to influence elections, and they didn't want to reveal it because it would put their own seats at risk. Would they reveal that foreign interests put them into power?
atrioc should watch 'Rules For Rulers" by cgpGrey. Its old but will probably answer a lot of his questions surrounding why good presidents are so rare.
That ABC metaphor is really cool. It works for all professional athletes. It really reminds me of golf. All of the pros are just as good as each other when they’re playing their A game. It’s the C holes that really change how well you can compete. Especially with golf where one bad hole is enough to take you out of the running
It happend in Denmark with a comedian who got the parliament just to make fun of the politicians. it was all a joke, but he actually got in and got a four-year job
The problem with running for president is that if no one gets a majority, it goes to congress to decide, so you need a party with a decent portion of congress too
I can't imagine big RU-vidrs becoming president. They're all so popular because they're so vague on what their political ideas are, becoming president would ruin their fan base
That ending is everything. Electing the president is only partly about the president. It is also significantly about who they surround themselves with.
I really want to hear Big A talk about Fidias Panayiotou, A cyprus tiktoker who got elected as an independent party for the European parliament. He's currently making Instagram reels probably tiktok idk about his decision making
The problem is how, sure, he works well with people and a lot of people like him, but the problem is how good he is in politics and running a country in the firs place, although I get other areas run the government basically. But to be fair Mr. Beast as president would be a really good look.
I think like the whole mr beast "disrupted the Chocolate market" is overblown. He doesn't like own a chocolate factory, he doesn't have his own source of cocoa, the man is literally just working with the established chocolate industry. Basically the same people are still making money, mr beast just gets s cut
It’s not about the manufacturing, it’s about the product and marketing. Chocolate really only has a handful of huge corporations, Ghirardelli, Hershey, Lindt. Mr. Beast established (a decent) chocolate brand and got into shelves all over the country, pretty quickly as well
@@TimS. I'm just incredibly skeptical of claims being made about RU-vidrs companies im in the UK, I work at a supermarket and I just find that RU-vidr products just don't seem to be doing as well as people seem to make out. Like we have Mr beast bars but no one really seems to buy them. But there are chocolate bars being sold not from the established chocolate manufacturers, like toneys chocoloney which is a Dutch chocolate manufacturer that seems to have broken into the space in major ways that I don't see Mr beast bars having done. Beyond that RU-vidr products in general. Like with Ksi and sidemen products, the UK is supposed to be their stronghold but they can't seem to sell anything, every month this year we've had a different sideman product on clearance. We've stopped selling prime, they released a cereal and within a couple months we stopped selling it. Their vodka brand is gone from shelves, their jerky brand was just given out to staff members at my work because no one bought it. What my eyes are telling me is that these RU-vidr companies seem to make a splash but just don't seem to change people's long term spending habits But like maybe that's because he's American. So let's look at channels big
