I usual run rex with crushing bite but with this most recent patch they updated Official rex and PT rex to have a 4 second cool down between bone break and biting attacks. Makes you extremely vulnerable but I see on the server you are on its a 2 second timer which is wayyyy more balanced and makes BB rex more viable. Yes the face tank ability is great but it doesn't stop your opponent from escaping you.
Hey thanks for checking out the video 😁. I play on official servers so the bone break time isn't too bad since last patch. I also run the bataar rex sub species for the increase damage to my attacks
The official rexes bone break cooldowns were never changed, the pt rex however used to not have a cooldown between its crushing and normal bites, meaning it could bonebreak and instantly start biting
You look like a great Rex player, any tips for dealing with bars? bone breaking and attacking them from the side doesn’t seem to be working for me as they just turn on the spot and use tail slam
Hey thank you for the compliment:) So against the bars, you don't want use bone break attack's, because they are not that fast and they can just turn in one spot after the bone break and tail slam you anyway. So what you want to do is deep rumble, then try to bait the slam or at least make It so the slam doesn't hit you in the head. After the slam is used there is a 4 second window where you can bite between the tail slams. If they run from you, you may have to bone break just to get them to fight you, after they start to fight it's just about making them miss there slam on your head.
gotta any suggestions on where to find people? i know IC, GP, White Cliffs, and YG are good spots but they are unfortunately plagued by the never ending armies of mix packers and idk about you but i've had more than enough of an objectively unwinnable situation i wanna decorate my hc with trophies too and i know the mix packing is unavoidable but certain areas are less likely to have them
Yeah there are spots that are better for finding more one on one fights. I find that Broken tooth canyon, rippel beach, burned forest, desolate pass, whistling columns. These areas are a bit better to not get jumped by mixpacks. But definitely when your on a apex like the T-Rex be sure to clean up the fight as fast as you can cuz they usually have friends somewhere and will send them after you or try and make it so you can't deliver the trophy. I suggest if you get a kill and a trophy, find a hiding spot somewhere away from the kill and heal up and don't go to the home cave right away. I also sometimes go to a home cave farther out so they won't expect it. Thank you for checking out the videos . Best of luck on your trophy hunt friend 😁
Oh I know every well to make l myself vanish you either learn that lesson 1st hand or through observation can’t truly enjoy the victory until you are safe
100% agree facetank is probably good but bone break is more viable imo since you can beat any apex without facetank and if you use facetank your targets are ONLY apexes, so as a person who prefers ambush hunting bonebreak is better because you have a chance at catching anything not just fighting apexes
It depends on playstyle, bonesnap is easier for the player to hit but the enemy can hear the charge up of it and usually make you miss. Crushing bite is harder to land but the enemy don't see it coming as easy. I will try and get some more T-Rex vs raptors clips uploaded. But I can tell you if you are running my build then you want to Spam your jump button when the raptors jump on you, don't run because it will increase the bleeding they put on you. Single one of them out , shake them off and go after the one that is low on satm. Also try to talk wack them. Tail wack and stomp are really useful but it's all in the timing. If you are have a really hard time with raptors then probably should run slick scales
Hi there, I've been playing PoT for a couple of months now, and there's something I don't quite understand. Why bother taking all the trophies? There is a point where marks don't matter at all. So I don't understand why you would spend so much time walking back and forth from your Home Cave.
Marks are going to always be useful for waystone use (getting you friends Dino's to where you are at and such). But as for the trophy's, some people use it to grow faster on baby Dino's, others like myself collect them for bragging rights or decorations in my home cave.
