My Big Gay Engagement 

I'm watching a compilation of all these gay proposals, and can't help but think at how much times have changed...I came out during the start of the "gay movement"; yes, I'm much older than these boys. We were then fighting for our right to be acknowledged as present...let alone equal.. I'm happy we are where we are...but let's not forget those who fought hard, and some even died for the right for us to marry, to love the people we love, without the fear of reprisal. I thank the generations before me who totally risked their lives, so that I could enjoy my sense of self ... who I am. Please don't forget our brothers and sisters. Congratulations boys...
