A few years ago I really tried the neutral capsule and packed away all the color. I did learn from that so it was good. I love color and color mixing. I think having a capsule within your collection of clothes that are basics and pair with many things. These are the backdrop of all the fun colorful things. I also pack all the out of season things away at the end of a season and pull out the new season and only pull out things I want to wear. The rest are put away if I still like them or if I don't I donate them.
It's definitely a great way to learn what does and doesn't work for you! I'm so glad color works for you, it's definitely a must in most closets. Thanks for watching :)
My biggest struggle is the "not having enough" issue. There is that little voice in the back of my mind that keeps telling me that six pairs of trousers are simply not enough. Dont get me wrong, they are MORE than enough. Do i have a pair of trousers for all occasions, from casual to ceremonies? Yes Do i need other styles? No Do i need other colours? No Do i keep scrolling and scrolling for a pair of light beige barrell jeans which i'll never wear cause they are too light and too baggy for my heavy bottomed pear shape type? Yes. Why, for all things holy? It doesnt make any sense, and its driving me CRAZY
Hard relate, seriously! This might be some type of scarcity response, which I find a lot of people have including myself. Have you ever tried renting? It might be a good way to fill the void of "I need something new" without overconsumption (if it's within your budget). Nuuly is my favorite!
Me too, I focused too much on buying great quality that I missed out on the details that match my personality. So, for now, I add jewelry until I can find colorful pieces
Great video! I just had a color analysis done last week, and I’m really excited to start building an intentional capsule wardrobe. Most of the colors I have (black) are not in my complementary flattering color palette. So I’m looking to slowly replace a lot of what I have overtime. Thanks!
